Okay that valve I pictured is not it. I know what you are talking about. I can get it out. I don't know if it works. I never drove this car in the winter. I will try to get a picture. Curtis

Sailor Bob Clock: See pic (I don’t think it works) Upper windshield trim (chrome): See pic Inside (Black plastic) window trim - vertical portion, passenger side: See pic (is this what you want?) Rubber elastic ty down for tool kit? Wheel chocks?: Not sure exactly what you want. Wheel well liners (front): Yes I have both and they are in good shape. I did not get a picture. The four screws from the heater/radio console face: See Pic do you have a lower portion cover in good condition?: The passenger side looks good. I don’t think there is a difference between sides when it come to the material only.
  7. My daily driver is a 2000 Civic SiR (Same as Si US model. Except the Canadian model has ABS). It is almost as much fun to drive a my 280 was. I have the usual collection of boring family vehicles. What I really like to drive is my 1980 Glastron Carlson CVX 20 jet boat.
  8. I just removed the harness from my car. I am gessing that most of the clips you are seeing a related to the fuel injectors and other connectors on the intake manifold. My car had an external voltage regulator for the coil. As far as the other stuff, I wont be much help.

Sailor Bob: I have not got the clock out yet. It used to work, but now I don’t know. I will try to test it. My dash used to be good, but after sitting for five years (indoors out of sunlight) it developed a crack. I will try to get some good shots of the fenders when the light is better. Agemeansnothing: Where are you located? I will try to figure out what shipping will cost. As far as the driver rear quarter panel, it is in tough shape. Daisy: I should have a passenger side turn signal light. My steering wheel is not wood grain. The center hub may still work for you, I don’t know for sure (I forgot to take a picture of it). The wiper motor and the arms appear to be in excellent shape. Where are you located? Zbane : I believe I have the part you are looking for, but I don’t think I will be allowed to ship it because it had gas in it. Mat M : I have not gotten to the mustache bar yet. I will take a picture when I get it off. As far as price goes I have not decided yet. I mostly want to make sure the parts get put to use for those that need them. I rather them live on than go to the scrap yard.

I will check out the parts that every one is interested in when I go to work on the car tonight. I have to try to find out the weight of the items to get some idea of shipping. I will bring my camera and take some pics.

I will post this in the Classified ads when I get some pictures. I am parting out my 77 280z. If there is anything that anyone is interested in please let me know. I am located in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. All the power train is original(engine, differential, 5 speed transmission, etc.) The head on the motor is a N47. I have a block with flat top pistons from an 82 280zx along with the head, intake, and exhaust manifolds. I also have the 5 speed, differential, drive shaft, and various other parts from the 82. The rear window on the 77 is brand new. (replaced twice when kids smashed it to try to steal the stereo.) The hood is in decent shape. I have fiberglass fenders for it that are in good shape. The factory hub caps are also in excellent shape. If anyone has any interest in any of this stuff please let me know.

I think a lot of this 240 vs 350 is an emotional one. I still prefer my older vehicles to newer ones. I like my 280z way better than my 280zx. I like the looks of the 300zx better than the 350z. In terms of being a decent performing good value sports car, I think they did all right. But I will still prefer the older one.
  14. Can't wait for your restore thread. They look great. Curtis

Just curious what you guys think of this car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4538562067&category=6187 Love to hear all of your opinions . Curtis

Awesome! Thanks for posting it. I can’t find a retailer here, yet this ebay seller is in Canada. It is most likely a store out of Vancouver. Thanks again Curtis

The other thing I missed was the automatic transmission. I know that they could be considered rare but I could not live with one in a car from the 70's. That is just a personal opinion.

It does look like a nice car, but everything looks good on internet pics. His buy now price is 14,500 I wonder what the reserve is.

I know you posted this a couple of months ago but I have a question. Did you ever get the video? I am very interested in getting this video. There are a few places that seem to be able to get me the international videos, but not that one. I know a few people were talking about getting it off ebay in another thread, but they were all from Australia. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Regards Curtis CCC77
  21. Who's fault was that crash? The 240 or the 350? Hard to tell from that video. Anyway here are a couple of links. http://www.zfilms.org/ http://www.ttzd.com/movies/archive/mpgs.html

My first car when I turned 16 was a 280zx. I think compared to a lot of cars 16 year olds get it was very reliable, and way cooler. That said the one component I found not to be that reliable was the alternator. If one thing has gone wrong on all of my z cars that’s the piece. The other piece that has gone on me always at annoying times is the seal on the hydraulic clutch. I did have the head gasket go in that 280zx and if I had not been able to do the work myself it would have cost a fortune. So if your not comfortable with the possibility of doing your own work a newer car might be better. I have no regrets owning any of my z cars. But I have always had a love for them and I really like working on cars. Regards CCC77

Apart from the words like colour, centre, cheque, realise, one of spelling we did adopt from the British is the spelling for tires. I wonder why that is? I think Australians spell it tyres as well as the British?

We have been metric in Canada for a long time now, but we still call our bottles by oz. A 750ml is a 26, 1140ml is a 40, and a 1750ml is a 60.(I cant remember if those are the exact ml sizes) It may be a regional thing, I don’t know if it’s as prevalent in eastern Canada. We also call a 24 bottle case of beer a twofour. Regards CCC77
