Ever heard of a GC111 factroy turbo EFI???
Hi ya Craig, Vacuum gauges setup for in dash reading generally show a sweet spot or a range that indicates best economy driving. Hard acceleration would show low to nil vacuum, while overrun will show high vacuum. I still swear by them for tuning older carbed engines.

My Truck Artical (Photo Edit Help Needed)
Open up the left side pic in paint,("Paint" should be under -START- All Programs-Accessories-)widen the palette area in readiness for the right side, then (in paint) go "edit", "paste from", open up the right side pic from where ever you have it saved and slide it into place beside the left half on the "paint" palette. Cheap and nasty but seems ok?

Hi Jack, and welcome! Funny thing those mirrors and their position. Before I took possession of the Skyline I swore they were going to be the first thing to go...but after driving the car from the previous owner in Melbourne to Sydney I discovered how well they worked. Both viewable through the screen and both being convex the images weren't hard to see at all. I'm used to the look of them now, they've actually grown on me. An important piece of the whole "look" of genuine Japanese market I s'pose! Jim.

Original Skyline Paint Codes?
Ian, the Skyline has been around since 1957. Did you have a series in mind? Or a basic colour from a model you like? With that we could start looking at various factory publications for the relevant series for paint codes. Jim.

That's IT! I've had it!! These things are becoming as common as muck ..I'm off to buy something different....Hmmm, now what is a 1973 Bitter CD? (only kiddin') Matt, is that the confirmed reason? If so, is somebody setting the clueless brigade steering ebay straight or what??

Steering wheel ID help
Hi everyone! That combination is identical to the wheel in my 1975 240K sedan (hgc110) This pic is from the Australian 1/73 brochure for the Datsun 240K GL 2 door. The rim finish varied depending on interior trim.

Inter Ceptor
There was a company that did just that! Not sure if it was a Japanese company or simply placed Japanes ads, but they would build you an MFP ( "Maintain Right" )"Pursuit Special" or an Interceptor to order. here's an XB sedan interceptor copy in ...Osaka!

My clollection
Hello again Alan!, I meant to say "22 October 1969"...not 2:stupid: Oh well.. Your info just about discounts the suggestion the 22nd was a momentous date in the release, i.e. "THE BIG DAY!" so.....I dunno! I reckon Enigma is closest. Yeeessss wouldn't it ! It bugs me now to remember the motor show releases of what are now classic collectibles that I was present for... and never hung on to the handouts etc .

what if the 240K has a body & chassis !
Hi Bu, A chassis? Hmm. That starts an ever increasing circle of demands . A lot more weight (heavy!) would need bigger and better engine , brakes , suspension to keep the same performance. It certainly would be a different car...yet look at the same era (late '60s~ early '70s) Corvette. Simple but effective chassis, big HP, big brakes.....and a lighter fiberglass body... but still weighs ~ 1600 kilo's! I love playing with these things but they are a very different car to the Skyline (~1200Kg) , and were meant to be so. Much more relaxing working on the old C110! A stainless steel body!! Remember the De Lorean! (the car in the "Back to the Future" movies) I think it all comes down to $$$$$ Bu, Nissan wanted to sell lots of cars at a price lots of people would pay, hence they used the cheapest materials that would do the job to there standards of the day. From your pictures it looks like the Middle Eastern environment is very harsh on cars? I guess that makes your restoration hobby that much harder. Jim.

My clollection
Wonderful collection Kats! thanks for sharing. "PM's Wednesday" Afternoon of that day sounds right, but you would have to wonder why "Afternoon"? Is October 2nd 1969 a significant date in the Fairlady Z/ 240 Z story? Jim.

ken mary wagon?
Thats a nice one Mat. I had a 2.5 litre (S44 series)sedan. Our "Milko" (milkman) had a beautiful white wagon when I was a kid, he replaced it with a Rambler wagon, IIRC it was a Matador?...BIG anyway. Jim.

Happy Halloween Pic
Orright, time to educate a furriner:laugh: I understand it's about "All Hallow's eve" when the spirit world is closest to the living, but the kids and the lollies bit...are they supposed to be the "spirits" after soul cake? or is it just"what you do!" on Oct 31. I know I can get a GOOGLE defintion but most of you blokes living amongst it make sense with less words...(gimme a break I'm on nightshift:stupid:) Jim. (Hey, did you see the guy who, as part of the celebrations set up a mock "jet crash" with real busted jet pieces in and over..all around his house!?!)
