I use Pawn shop special. 0.25 a pound. Here they only have Snap-On and Craftsman. I usually buy the whole bin of Snap-On (it's usually small) then I sort N' pick Craftsman. I usually ask for tools on Birthday's and X-mass. Get Brand new set of Craftsman every year. Snap-On is the best but takes many years to build yourself up a real good set. Buy good tools and they'll treat you right. I've always liked Craftsman due to the fact that sears is always close buy and you can replace a tool fast. Snap-On is dealer only. Here you have to catch The Snap-On truck, No store. -Brandon

  6. Cant say I've ever seen single Webber's (even online) Own duel and triple's. Yes, Webber's are the best way to go if you have money. I also like big twin or single barrel carbs. The most reliable type of carbs I've ever came across.

I saw those about a week ago. Took me about 20 minutes to download all the pictures(28K:dead: ) I'm not a ZX man but I really like them.Think the Dealer is making too much off of em tho. -Brandon

  13. Subj: <FS> 240-Z parts.. Date: 7/3/2003 2:19:17 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: John.Burgess@railamerica.com To: z-car@taex001.tamu.edu Sent from the Internet (Details) FYI: Completely gutted the black interior my '73 240Z (complete dash, seats, glass, visors, mirror, window mechanisms, center console, seat belts, hood latch, fresh air vents, panels, etc, etc). About all that is left in the car is the steering column and pedals. Most everything was there. Sorry, in my rush I tore the diamond pattern vinyl pulling it out. It was about 105 degrees in my garage that day. Some of this stuff is very good to excellent, some is just OK, some is not too great. Let me know if you want any of it stuff before I a) stick it up in the rafers of my garage, toss it in my junk box, c) just throw it away Also have a never-used spare tire (It says Toyo Z-8 radial 175SR14) on original wheel, tool kits, etc. Prices range from free to whatever you think it is worth. Also have a pair of Weber DGV with Cannon manifold adapters and a set of '83 ZXT wheels WITH Z centercaps I am sick of moving around the garage. --John Red '73 FP 240Z just came in on the Z-car list.
  14. You should be able to switch the rollers without a problem. our Z seats don't recline the 73' onward do. I can't say anything about later Z's. I've only owned 240's. Once had a 89ZXT. Installing a set of Acura Buckets in a 240Z http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/AcuraSeats/AcuraBeck.htm Found the link for you. -Brandon
  15. The only positive would be cheeper gas prices. Desal is a killer to mother nature.. Kills Z's too -Brandon 71 240-Z

I COMPLETELY AGREE 100% Cant stand kits. -Brandon
  17. There is not much of a difference between the original 240Z(A or tranny and the T-5(ZXT). Most people like em cuz the give more MPG and can carry higher HP. You cannot link up any other Borg-Warner T-5 trannys other than the ome's that came in the 81-83 ZXT. -Brandon

  20. Weird bolt on drivers side engine under the manifold. 19 or 21mm, don't remember. Manifold nuts are square require monkey wrench and vice-grips.

  24. Don't like the 240K 4-door. Just got done looking at JMT240KGTR's 240K 4-door. They look like good collectibles. Not so desirable. Probably get trashed faster. Never got them here in the us. I wonder why? One question what does the 240 and K stand for. If they have a 2.8 liter engine where's the 240 come from? -Brandon
