  1. Take lady and Z to the cost to watch Fireworks -Brandon
  2. Subj: <FS> 240-Z parts.. Date: 7/3/2003 2:19:17 PM Eastern Daylight Time From: John.Burgess@railamerica.com To: z-car@taex001.tamu.edu Sent from the Internet (Details) FYI: Completely gutted the black interior my '73 240Z (complete dash, seats, glass, visors, mirror, window mechanisms, center console, seat belts, hood latch, fresh air vents, panels, etc, etc). About all that is left in the car is the steering column and pedals. Most everything was there. Sorry, in my rush I tore the diamond pattern vinyl pulling it out. It was about 105 degrees in my garage that day. Some of this stuff is very good to excellent, some is just OK, some is not too great. Let me know if you want any of it stuff before I a) stick it up in the rafers of my garage, toss it in my junk box, c) just throw it away Also have a never-used spare tire (It says Toyo Z-8 radial 175SR14) on original wheel, tool kits, etc. Prices range from free to whatever you think it is worth. Also have a pair of Weber DGV with Cannon manifold adapters and a set of '83 ZXT wheels WITH Z centercaps I am sick of moving around the garage. --John Red '73 FP 240Z just came in on the Z-car list.
  3. You should be able to switch the rollers without a problem. our Z seats don't recline the 73' onward do. I can't say anything about later Z's. I've only owned 240's. Once had a 89ZXT. Installing a set of Acura Buckets in a 240Z http://www.zhome.com/ZCMnL/AcuraSeats/AcuraBeck.htm Found the link for you. -Brandon
  4. The only positive would be cheeper gas prices. Desal is a killer to mother nature.. Kills Z's too -Brandon 71 240-Z

There is not much of a difference between the original 240Z(A or tranny and the T-5(ZXT). Most people like em cuz the give more MPG and can carry higher HP. You cannot link up any other Borg-Warner T-5 trannys other than the ome's that came in the 81-83 ZXT. -Brandon

your going to kill your perfectly good Z.....*tear* *tear*
  9. Weird bolt on drivers side engine under the manifold. 19 or 21mm, don't remember. Manifold nuts are square require monkey wrench and vice-grips.
  10. Damn thats a NICE car *tear* too bad we are never going to see it

  13. Don't like the 240K 4-door. Just got done looking at JMT240KGTR's 240K 4-door. They look like good collectibles. Not so desirable. Probably get trashed faster. Never got them here in the us. I wonder why? One question what does the 240 and K stand for. If they have a 2.8 liter engine where's the 240 come from? -Brandon
  14. Just now looking at your signature I hope you enjoy your 71 240-Z I love the 71's(I've got 3). There my most favorite out of all the Z's (including 350Z-which I like very much) I've got a 70 too. Like 71's much better. my 2¢ -Brandon
  15. There are no seats that will fit without any changes. No 260,280 Z seats will fit. Have to switch out the rollers. No other Datsun-Nissan seats will fit<-that I've tried At www.zhome.com there's a write up on a Honda seat. Pictures and everything. sorry I do not have that link at the moment. Personally I love the Original 240Z seats. Will use them until there dead then fix/buy new one's. They make bolt-up racing seats for $$$$$$$$$$ -Brandon 71 240Z series 1
  16. Any one have a picture of a 4-door 240K? Off subject just noticed this, It seems that all of the highly active regsiterd oct 01 guess I've been lost for a while me and Gav240z are right after one another too 1315-1316 -Brandon
  17. That's exactly what I would like to have. A Turbo-Stroker From what I've been told it's a waste of money to get every possible HP. Should I do away with this? -Brandon
  18. Never used it. Never seen it closest thing I've used is PRO-15 -Brandon
  19. I guess it's just a U.S thing to talk in HP I dont think the mass-public would understand KW
  20. Just got finished looking at Alfadog's 240K. It kinda looks line a Shelby-Z mix. Too bad we did not get them here in the U.S -Brandon
  21. Yes, I have seen 'Bruce Almighty.' I was so mad. He completely KILLS the car. At least it still runs. LONG LIVE THE Z
  22. What's the point in all that sound in a Z?...It's a small car, don't need all that much to blow you out of your mind. High quality 6x9's with mids and tweets will give you all the sound you need. Don't get me wrong. I love loud music, but I know you dont need all that much in a Z as you would in a SUV or mom's Van to get the same effect. Gotaa think of tickets. Cops dont like Highschool kids, loud music, and fast cars.
  23. Leeroy- Thank you so much.Thats exactly what I needed to know. Now I have a lot of research on where to buy the parts. Any one have any websites, stores under your favorites? Most of it I see here and there on e-may. wouldnt mind to have a web site to go to. Starting google searches now. Thanx for all help, Brandon

They are magnesium-alloy. They used Magnesium wells in the olds days cuz they are light and strong but THEY ARE VERY FLAMMABLE.
