What you have here isn't all bad, it's a bit rough around the edges but don't let that deter you from getting it done. Gav.

Crossflow Head On eBay?? Probably NAPS-Z?
Well it was basically an engine that was found on a sedan or 200sx and suffered due to having small ports. I believe there was a turbo version but at 100kw or something similar nothing exciting. The roadster looks nice and clean dunno why they put a downdraft webber on it well it looks like one. Did they come with dual SU's like the Z originally?

Rip Rb26dett #1
What a shame obviously wasn't meant to be. So don't stress as my driving instructor said to me when I failed my license maybe if you got it something bad could have happened so maybe someone is looking out for you. Take care be patient and you will have your car together sooner than you may think.

GRM 240Z vs 350Z comparo
threefittyzee i have some advice and that is you'll never convince a board full of S30 enthusiasts that the new thing is great or better than the original. If they felt the same as you they would be on another forum. I understand you love your car and you have every right to. Just maybe keep it to yourself where appropriate . The whole idea behind the 240z was that is was affordable so saying others are jealous because we can't afford one is a bit silly as your saying the new Z is just like the old in one sense but the whole reason the 240z caused such a stir was because it really stuck it up the british cars which were double the price and getting beaten by a car that anybody could afford. I've never driven a 350z and I have varying opinions about the car which is probably why I will never buy one. Ever ummm'd and arrr'd about buying something and doing it then thinking why did i do that? I think that's what I'd do if i bought 1 but final opinion reserved until I've driven one. This debate goes on and on and no matter how determined you are we won't say your right we'd rather act like that child who won't listen and cover our ears :cheeky: . If we are happy let us be and likewise for us we will let you enjoy your new car. I don't know if there's really anymore for me to say and I probably shouldn't have said anything at all and just closed this thread but hey I did and now I committed my opinion .

GRM 240Z vs 350Z comparo
Yep the S2000 is probably the "new sports car" I would drive or buy. I think the 350z just looks like it needs to go on a diet. However I do think they are an ok car and have considered that if i had the money I'd consider buying one. At the same time I've never driven one so I'm not gonna judge it just yet. The S2000 though on paper looks the better car to me.

I finally have my parts car! Want anything?
http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/attachment.php?s=&postid=54629 Pic courtesy of Kats this is the pattern i'm after unripped. I think maybe in the 260z especially later years they changed the pattern to the one you showed me.

Sorry but it's the wrong stiching pattern. I'll try show you what I'm after, it's much nicer looking in my opinion i'll let you know if i might be after anything else though. Gav

71 HS30- in Melbourne Australia
I saw the add for this a couple of weeks ago at the moment i'm struggling to fix mine up on my budget otherwise I would have bought it in a second. I didn't look at it but it's early enough for me. I have no information on the car and I'd go around there but wouldn't wanna waste the sellers time. gav

Wow, Painting is a hassle!.(HELP)
Undo the four screws holding the wiper valance on. It should slide forward up and out. You should be able to get to that area from there. Gav

Fuel for your 240K
I think you mean 98 octane but I'm not a fuel expert I just know optimax has had a few good and bad point mentioned in the past. I've noticed my car has felt alot nicer to drive on Mobil Synnergy in the past. Give both a try see what you think. Gav

Who's is this?
That car has popped up a few times it's in my gallery also. I found the pics ages ago on dream or spirit garage can't remember which one but the site is gone I've tried finding it again and even found a link to it once but it has since been taken down or left. Anyway it is a real nice car if you find anything further please let us know. :cheeky: Gav

original color under hood
yeah should be an E31 head with a 2400 Valve cover but at the same time the early E88 is identical with a slightly larger exhaust valve I believe so it really doesn't matter. However if your restoring this car to original specs and going to the effort of keeping the original engine I'd look into aquiring an E31 again

$16,000 510
Yeah if i had a guess there about the same size as a C110. I'll get the chassis prefix correct one day . So it was a pretty accurate replica with the flares cool indeed. I had always seen them with them on at both ends you see. It was definately missing something in the chassis prefix must have been KGC10 as after reading down the article it said it was a GT and a price of only $25 - $30k would agree with that . I liked it but that's for sure the interior was nice and i could see it begging me to take it for a drive. :cheeky:
