Turbo to none Turbo??
If your thinking of selling your turbo engine parts let me know I just blew a head gasket in my Z and thinking about a turbo swap or another engine setup. :classic:

I'd say more overweight RX3. Seriously alot of the early datsun's were not pretty, I love the 510/1600's great cars, the C10 & sorta the C110 Skyline. I don't think i'll ever own a C110 infact I really doubt it I might own a 510/1600 one day. Always wanted one with an SR20 in it . I wouldn't worry about this site becomming non Z I think it's a good change to learn about the other datsun's. Remember you don't have to even read about anything but Z's if you don't want to. I would like to welcome as many other Datsun members to this site as they help share knowledge and I believe there isn't enough of them to start their own club. More the merrier if you ask me but it's still a Z club and that's the main reason I still come here .

What fuel do you use in your L series motor?
James the SU's are a bit of a pain and I would definately recommend the tuning tools. Your in melbourne so if you like I can come over and lend you a hand at it. I'm no guru at them but I can get them running right. i bought a Unisyn ages ago have to pick it up. Have been thinking about the colour tune kit also after I fouled up a couple of plugs. There not too difficult to rebuild but getting it running properly and leak air tight is the trick. I was thinking of doing mine but haven't been driving the Z lately had no money with change of jobs etc... Victoria British www.victoriabritish.com sell the tune up gear as well as www.ztherapy.com The SU's are a pain but for performance I think the SU's are great. For a daily driver though must admit fuel injection wins hands down.

Sounds great to me, I had a sales brochure for datsun products somewhere. It had things like the SUn Visor , bumper over riders, fog lights etc.. Mainly for stuff to put on a 200b etc... Still good to see. I've never seen a owners manual for a HS30 Z . I've been tempted to buy an original radio on EBay but .

Yeah I think LRP is garbage. From my experience when they were first implementing it Leaded made the car drive better. I spose if you want your best bet is Optimax. But if your gonna just put in the L28 turbo within a year or 2 I don't think LRP will kill it. Has the L26 been rebuilt or is it an old motor?

True but how are they to know the car never came out like that? I've seen plenty of American cars on our roads with the red indicators. I understand your point but so far I've been left alone by most members of the law . Even with the loud exhaust I'm touching wood but I think I'm less of a target than those driving commodores with 5 mates crammed in the back or a Honda with plastic all over it and a big milo tin on the back. The main reason I would like them is that 1 of mine has a hairline crack that was patched with sellies all clear just where the brake light is and I know a second set would be worth $$$ new so i thought I'd ask. I wouldn't throw my old set out. However I do appreciate what your trying to tell me, but I usually do try not to wizz of the boys in blue.:classic:

That's really good to hear Rick, it's always good when you know the history of a car . My current car has only had 2 previous owners I'm the third and proud of it . My old 240z had some history written down with it and was in rough condition I had always thought I'd show the previous owner what I had done when it was finished but sigh never finished that one. Oh well when my current one undergoes a complete rebuild "one of these days" i guess I can show the PO .

Don't know if I'd bother with Optimax on a standard L26. I never noticed any difference myself on a stock L engine. I notice on my current setup due to high compression. Be interesting to hear any opinions??

I use optimax whenever possible I hate all other fuel it hates my engine. Having 10:1 compression is not good with only Premium Unleaded Junk they have at BP. 95 Octane, Optimax is 98 and I do notice she runs alot nicer. I agree fuel these days is crap they add so much crap tax you so much for it and it's never any good. I don't even bother with LRP anymore since my current Z has steel valve seats. Your P90 will already have these if that's what you'll be using for your Z.

Sorry for the lack of description but yes it's a rotory, 13B Turbo 500HP weapon. It's Tod Kaneko's brother ride the 510 2 door. I still prefer the Z but this would be real nice too .

Why would one bother with a VH V8 Conversion? I think the Lengine is a better engine anyway?????

Alternative carbs (cheap)
If your car has the L26 still in it you should get the fuel injection off a Skyline with the 2.4L engine (L24) As later ZX fuel injection will need a bit of work to make fit the earlier head. I have a set of British SU's not sure what they came off were on a 2.8L Z of mine but I'd say they need a rebuild really, I have the throttle shafts rebushed so they should be good but I'd take them apart and rebuild them if I was gonna use em' again. I was gonna practice my polishing skills on them and i'm not sure I'd be comftable selling them to you cause they were a bit of a pain to tune and not as good as the Z SU's made by Hitachi.

Seems that the old skylines are getting a bit of a following these days makes me feel I'm missing out . So what are the plans?
