I know this car. I have an article of it , it's got an RB30ET if I'm not mistaken, it didn't have a front spoiler back then and rear spoiler. Gotta be an Aussie car.

300 + HP
Brilliant such high compression must give such good torque can only imagine how fun it is to drive. My car has an early E88 Head F54 Block(10:1) compression, 280zx Valves, Mild Port N Polish on intake, electronic ignition mild cam etc.. so much fun to drive but i only have Dual SU's wouldn't mind putting tripples on it .

Help needed ...ALAN (HS-30-H)
Only American cars had the numbers inside the car to my knowledge if your's is an Australian delivered Z brought to NZ I would say it should be above the brake booster stamped into the wall. You can cross check it with a plate in the engine bay on the strut tower that will tell you both engine number and chassis number. Don't forget the engine number is just below the head stamped into the block on the driver side towards the radiator. Good Luck and Take Photo's

KPGC110 Skyline GT-R For Sale
I can't believe how relaxed you are about letting us drive your car Alan, I don't even let my friends drive my Z mainly cause I get the impression they will pick at things like no power steering(like get over it). Also I'm scared if anything ever happened to my Z it's not the way they drive it's other drivers that scare me they go for Red 240z's I'm sure of it. Hopefully one day I can get over to good old England and see your collection of Nissan history. I wanna go to Ireland aswell because that's where my family heritage lies. :classic: .

Help needed ...ALAN (HS-30-H)
Seriously from those photo's it looks like a great car, not perfect but fairly original and looked after. BTW all Z's had a Nissan OHC stamp on the engine except the earlier ones said Nissan 2400CC you can see one in my gallery. :classic:

With my missus she always says I love the car more than her but that's ok. I tell her it's not true but she seems to know I have a passion for it and she encourages me working on the car because she enjoys being a passenger in it. She understands I burn alot of money on it but I still pay for me and her to go out even if she does protest to me paying . I guess she's happier that I spend more time and money on the car than going out to nightclubs with friends and the possibility of other women.:tapemouth Get it while she's away and she won't have much of a choice .

ZG body parts
I tend to agree Zkid I know I'm the driver of the car and I can do what I like to it. I also understand that the Z is of classic status and that to me also means I have a responsibility to look after her and making her a ZG means I'm changing what she is and she's classic for what she is. I agree brake upgrades and suspension are great and I don't mind a few engine modifications either. That's why it's such a tough decision because the car I own was a family car for 20 + years and in that time it was looked after and unmolested etc.. although the chassis rails are a bit battered from some clown but I'll be rectifying that . Anyway I don't mind people modifying there car to the way they like it of course it's not alway in my taste take ebay for example there's so much junk on there I'm scared to look. I just feel I can't modify it without feeling somewhat guilty . Maybe I'm too ANAL .

Early E88's are almost identical in terms of head design depends on if your building for concours purposes I guess but you can always find a E31 head on Ebay or the like despite that Z garage site saying they were all used up for racing in the 70's & 80's. Good Luck.

History repeats itself....you would think we'd learn!!
Carl cracks me up, I like the 350z but today I went to Nissan walked into the parts department and thought gee I'm glad I don't have to deal with the wankers at car yards etc.. If I had a new car I'd have to all the time but since I was just ordering a Z part it was ok despite the long delay finding the thing. I looked at the 350z thought it's nice new etc.. then i looked at my 240z and thought for it's age the condition is so great and it's just so classic. I'm glad I own a 240z not a 350z. :classic:

How to start an argument...
That's a laugh in a half. Our American Z buddies are clever boys so don't take it personally there guys but I think it's gotta be half true at least.

Help needed ...ALAN (HS-30-H)
As far as I know it should be HS30 not HS00 hence the term body style S30. 280zx is S130 etc... Obviously they've supplied an incorrect number misread it or something. Sounds like an early model Z good luck. Hope that helps a bit.:classic:

ZG body parts
I kinda agree with you Halz but I really like the ZG look personally. I think it would be great to own one there so different to anything else on the road I agree stock Z's are just as beautiful and I love the look of my current Z that's why I can't decide. Maybe one day I'll import a true ZG and not just have some replica. :classic: Dreams come true if you make them:cheeky:

Opinions on those Clear Headlight Covers... for an Z
Fatest Z I was gonna go for a job like that there always in need of people but I think I only enjoy detailing my own Z not anyone else's car. So I couldn't do it, would drive me nuts and probably cause me not to detail my own car as a result. Good thing is you would learn all the tips and trick of the trade however I learnt alot donig searches on the internet aswell. Nothing like a waxed up Z .

Might have a hard time finding those wheels. There an Australian owned company called Simmons expensive here but probably reasonable in US$ dollars.

Bonnet Badge On Ebay For the Aussies
Hey guys http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2422428505&category=32063 There is a bonnet badge on ebay for sale here in AUS. I'm tempted to buy but can't justify $60 on 1 badge. As much as I do want it. So I figured I'd post it for anyone else.

ZG body parts
I'm so tempted to buy them but I really shouldn't yet. Still can't decide if I wanna butcher my current Z to install them but thanks for letting us all know. :classic:

Is the 240k cool or not???
http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/data/534/2116Works_110_GT-R_racer_at_Ginza-1.jpg Since ALan is making a 432R replica maybe you could join the replica boat and built this unique car. Too bad it was never raced could have been a legend. I've seen a few 240k's around here in Melbourne most very rough. However one young guy had a nice white one but I didn't speak to him now I wish I had of. I've seen a couple with L28 Turbo's. :classic:
