  10. So anybody unlock the Z or Skyline yet? Carl I'm sorry it didn't work for you but Mike is right it's not that great a game I just thought the Z people would be interested in it. If you ever do decide you would like to play it download winRar and try that. Anyway I'm off to the exhaust shop cya guys.
  11. Ok if your getting an error in the link you will have to copy and paste it into the address bar in explorer. Also cause it's a free account there are certain limitations to it. If anyone can host this at their site let me know and I'll upload it there instead.
  12. I had no problems with it on my PC might be 3d card configuration. I am also running windows XP.
  13. Hi guys I finally got this working as I've been meaning to do for the last couple of weeks. It's a racing game with just Nissan cars you can have skylines, Z's and Silvia's. The 432r is a secret car as with the Skyline 2000GT. Have fun and enjoy. http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/datsun240z/install.zip http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/datsun240z/REALCAR.RAR http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/datsun240z/REALCAR.R00 http://www.angelfire.com/sd2/datsun240z/REALCAR.R01 instructions: Download all 4 files unzip install.zip and run the install.exe program. Keep all files together in same folder.
  14. Well from reading the above and from reading the interesting write up at http://zhome.com/History/Myth/DesignEvoluB.htm . My opinion is that the Z was originally designed to be a Japanese car with the 4 cylinder option. After Mr K saw the prototype it was then changed to suit the US requirements. Since the first off the line Z's were right hand drive I believe that the car was later changed to accomodate the growing demand for the cars in the US. It's a complex history and I wish I knew a bit of Japanese or could speak with the original designers and engineers of the car as Kats was able to do. Either way I couldn't imagine driving my Z on the left side or any car for that matter. Living in Australia all my life has set my mind that way. Alan's right about the handbrake position it's perfect for right hand drive and the engine setup. Would you say the petrol cap position has any variance??? Look forward to more interesting facts guys.

Just adding a comment. The vertical defogger glass is hard to find and worth quite a bit too. I remember having a conversation with Lindsey Drife(forgive for incorrect spelling if it is). At the Zshop here in Melbourne and he was saying he has 1 and no it's not for sale I'll include an image in this post so u can see the vertical lines. PS: It's TOD Kaneko's 240z I love this Z. (Forgive spelling again if wrong).

Can I please have a set too :classic:
  19. Now this is only a suggestion but I owned a 75 260z that had been fitted with an electrical fan and I believe the fan alone is a cause for electrical problems. The installation was not done by me but by the previous owner and the car gave me nothing but trouble. It fried 3 alternators and killed 1 battery. Turn signals are usually just the globes on one side they all need to be good. If not it's usually the flasher unit located under the dash. All old cars are going to have electrical problems as the electronics technology back then was not as accurate as todays. Also ageing parts doesn't help. My 240z has stock wiring but it has undergone some upgrages. The electronic iginition is a start. No ballast resistor. The H4 Hella headlights work nicely. The flasher unit is a more modern one works fine. The rest as far as I can tell is all stock and it's working fine. My suggestion give the electric fan the flick the HP is saves isn't worth it plus the clutch fan makes the car more reliable.

Datsun 76 I used to feel the same way about shelling out money for my Corolla and 75 260z 2+2 when it comes to my 240z I actually enjoy spending money on it. I also love working on it myself you can save money that way but I understand if u don't have the time either. By the way how did u go with the spray painter issue a while back????

Ok this is off topic. But where are the tie rod ends located. I just replaced the control arm bushes and ball joints on my syspension. I noticed an upper ball joint that makes up part of the steering system is that the tie rod end? Anyone got a picture of where it is on a car????? Also after replacing my ball joints should I notice anything different about the car????
