I was gonna do the same thing were you aware that Mr Matsuo the designer of the Z had planned to have the grille like this but the project manager forgot his name had said nope you can't see it below anyway so to save costs they only did the top half? I will more than likely make mine chrome. Great looking race car BTW a rare site to see a race car that doesn't look like it went thru hell. -
dude i thought i was the only one obsessed enough to look at my car after i get out and walk away. I guess i am just proud to own one, when i used to work at my local video shop i would park out the front so i could keep an eye on it. I'd always stop putting movies away every 30mins to take a peak at her and often catch someone prying on her. Then someone reversed into it and i hid it around the back was never as fun. You should be extra proud though after the work you have done. Hope to see you plenty more on upcomming viczcar meetings. -
I don't hate them I still like seeing them on the road it's just i owned one and it was a bit of a lemon truth be told, they are fun with friends in the back and they drive quite well with the longer wheel base but that particular example Ben was talking about saving IMHO was not worth the money you'd pour into it. $30k easy to get it right and you would be lucky to see 1/3 of it. I don't think I'll own another one again but who knows. Gav

I could be wrong but i think you'll find earlier E88's those found on a 72 Z are higher compression than the later any idea which you have? I wouldn't trust the engine calculator as i believe it's not quite perfect it may give you a correct answer but it has a few bugs. As for giving you an idea i haven't the slightest idea. Gav

Unsure what your talking about with the SU's running a turbo aswell as engine management? can you explain this again for me? I'd personally go with the L24 for a daily car they rev nicer and seem to be easier to drive in a manual car. However if your rebuilding maybe carl is right then again turbo's can complicate things. Sorry Ben have to disagree with you the 2+2 isn't worth the effort IMHO having owned a 2+2 I can tell you there is no comparison to the 2 seater. The Australian market got pretty much the same deal as the Japanese cars and they are fun to drive but not the same magic. Wonder if it has the mesh grille like the first car posted.

Lambs wool is like cool and stuff!. my 260z 2+2 had lambs wool and let me tell you it was warm but it really looks bad. -
hmm familiar I've been up past 4:30am working on the Z the worst part is clean up and trying to get that crap out from your nails and make sure you get oil or whatever off your arms in the shower. Oh well you probably don't have too many of those anymore I still have plenty to go fun!
