Indicators/Flashers Don't work
Hi guys I'm in need of urgent help here only because I need to get my car road worthy to change it into my name. The indicators or flashers don't flash properly they just stay stuck on either right or left no blinking. I believe it's the actual unit but any suggestions as to what I could look at or what it could be would be much appreciated.

RB30 in a 240Z
that blue Z was owned by a Nick someone forgot the last name and the article was in street machine I have that article at home. I think all RB engines require the same work to go in but I would do an Rb25 after reading into it all myself. Anyway good luck I personally Like the idea of a L28 Turbo I already have the Block and Head (P90).

I completely ignored the original post. Ok so here's what I'd have:- 240z (got one but if I was gonna get another I'd get a 70') with the vents in the hatch. Gnose - A must :classic: Still deciding on ZG flares but most likely will put the ZG mirrors on the fenders depending on the road laws here in AUS. 16 , 17 , 18" rims not sure yet what will be the best. Depends on horsepower and braking ability. L28 Turbo F54 BLock P90 head. T4 Turbo Hardened internals etc... going for around 300 - 400HP. Body work perfect no dings, bondo etc.. Must be brilliant Ferrari Red or maybe the new Holden HSV red used on some of the new Monaro's. Chrome everywhere almost. The metal must shine like those old mustangs you see on TV. A couple of racing seats, Most likely black interior. Thinking of white guage faces. Not sure on rear wing choice maybe the little Bre wing. Dual exhausts out rear(works rally car lookalike). For now that's my dream list....................

Your right Ivan I am displeased mainly because of the following 2 reasons. 1. I personally think the Z looks better. 2. Because you shouldn't molest a original Z car. on the other hand I don't see why not if you really like the GTO and since there were such a limited number made it's the only way you could come close to owning one. Not to mention the cost of one of these things. But that's just me I like my original 240z with a gnose.

Whoa!!!
Cool post however when I lifted the panels on my Z all I found was dirt and some rust thank goodness. I used to find huntsmen spiders at my old house they loved the garage there. Where I am at the moment my bed room is above my garage and I don't have problems with spiders really which is good. However I do remember when I was a kid I went to open this book and a white tail spider run down the page and onto my lap I screamed and my mum flushed it down the toilet. I don't really have a fear of spider though just snakes I hate snakes.

Is this how your front grille will look permanently? I take it this is a 280z that's had the bumpers removed. I have a mate who did something similar but he put a front spoiler on and it looks great.

burning some rubber
I was reading your website but I feel compelled to tell you that Albert Goertz did not design the 240z. Just ask Alan HS30-H is his user name on these forums we just recently had a discussion about this.

kph in a 240Z?
I own a 73 240z which was not an imported car as far as I know. The speedo is in yes MPH not KP/H. The change came with the 74 260z which was all in Km/pH. This applies to AUS only I believe. Gav,

Z car video's
I enjoyed those video's thanks alot.

Only $AUD 295,000.00
Well Alan you could always write that book everyone keeps asking you to write. I'd believe that it wasn't goertz who designed the Z basically because the information on it was so inconclusive everywhere on the net there's mentions of different people who desgined this car. Good luck telling everyone but, as you say people just wanna put a name to the car I spose.

The Winner takes it all
Love this picture, love the resto process, love the originality. Is it true some of the Works Rally Cars had the S20 Engine fitted? I'm looking at buying a 240z that has had the works twin exhausts installed at the back. I love the look of it.

Z432 4 sale!!!!
Hey Alan do you have any pictures of your 432 Replica or any other pictures of 432's? I only have one or 2 pictures of these cars and would like to see more of them. I can't believe I'd be looking at $90,000 Aus for one of these cars. I spose I'll be sticking to my $3000 240z.

Sweetest 240 ever
I Agree but I also feel the Gnose on a 240z will make it even more modern I have a mate with one. www.geocities.com/spized1969/ I just fell in love with the gnose after seeing this car. He's done the black trimmings but I love polished chrome I don't feel u need black to modernise the Z besides the reason I've deferred the idea is because if you look at cars done up in the 80's you see a very awfull trend from that era. I believe it would be the same to make a Z look like a today car in a few years it will look a bit dated where as keep it modern with say rims and clean paint and interior and u never have this problem. I'm probably not making sense but hey it's late. Point is I like to keep it orig because it doesn't date then and if you ever see a Red car with chrome polished to the max on a sunny day you'll know what i'm talking about. Just think of all those Mustangs you see.

Sweetest 240 ever
I was always gonna do red on my Z it is the best color for a sports car after all and best of all it's timeless like the Z's shape. The black around the windows and wipers etc. Is good but fully polished chrome is 10x better in my opinion. On a red car anyway I think on a yellow car like a mate of mine has it's good to have the black.

00091 for sale
Halz I agree with you on the V8 Z It would go nice but I wouldn't want it as I said I love the L Series engine with a cam tripple carbs and extractors for extra performance. I would like the #91 or whatever it is even if it may have a few bugs. I just like an early build number but is it #91 out of factory or #91 shipped to AUS. HS30-H or ALan would be able to shed more light on this. He seems to know a thing or 2 about build #'s etc. I personally own a 73 but want a 69 -70 240z with the vents in the hatch not the C Pillar. It's a 240z thing.

Sweetest 240 ever
I believe the owners name is Alex although I've never had the chance to meet him his number place says AC I think and I have an article on a blue Z like this that was owned by a mate of his and they both worked on to make as stunning as this. Only diff was that Alex's car was a Bent 8 his mates forgot the name is a RB30 Turbo which he has now sold. Is Alex out there anywhere????? Gav
