I have the same problem with my dash lights and head lights in my '71 240. If I am just idleing they are dim, higher the rpm's brighter the lights. I have been told it may be the alternator. I haven't had it checked yet though. Good luck with it, and let me know what you come up with please. I am going to try to get mine tested this week, I will let you know.

Well it is finally my turn. This sweet little jewel is a '71 240 Fairlady. She has been in the family since she was flown into the country in '71. The engine was totally restored, all original, last year. I am starting the restoration of the interior and exterior now. I hope to post a few pictures soon. I am having dificulty finding parts, i.e. (dash, heater/vent controls, exterior emblems, ect.) Any help will be greatly appreciated.
