  1. Here's the link; looks like it comes with a lot of extra parts: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-Datsun-240Z-vintage-road-race-Z-car-ITS_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ98064QQihZ011QQitemZ320085591264QQrdZ1
  2. Looks like it's at $6,100.00 with 20 bids and a little over 2 days left at the time of this post. I wonder what the reserve is on this car. Even though this '69 production 240 has some modifications, it is a diamond in the rough. Obviously, this car has the potential to be worth a bundle of money someday, with its mostly solid body and original matching number engine, etc. Any guesses on what it will go for, assuming it meets the reserve?
  3. H Houghton, When you go there, please bring a digital camera and take some pics of the '71 as well as the '72 then post them. From what Art@nissansport said, it sounds like the '71 has a solid shell. If I'm not mistaken, it seems like not too long ago a couple of members were looking for a good 240Z shell.
  4. Arne, I'll bet this set will beat the $640.00 record. They are up to $585.00 now with almost 4 days to go. Some of the NOS 240Z parts like the door panels, dashboards, "D" wheel covers, '70-'71 center consoles, etc seem to go for more and more everytime you turn around!
  5. Yes, you are correct Carl, the rears are spaced farther apart on the '73. That's also why the rear rubbers are shorter on the '73 than they are on the '70 thru '72 rear bumpers.
  6. A nice set of NOS 240Z black door panels are at $510.00 with 11 bids and nearly 5 days left at the time of this post: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=019&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=290085226338&rd=1,1
  7. Arne, My advice would be to list it on Ebay and not try to part it out, you won't get nearly as much money out of it. Also, since its original matching engine is gone and it has rust issues, I wouldn't put any more money into the car, because you will never get it back when you try to sell it. Like a couple of the other members said, it can't hurt to try Ebay. Good luck with the sale.
  8. I'd like to go out to California with a big multi-auto trailer and buy up as many low rust 240Zs (with low prices) I could find to fill the trailer ...10 or 12 cars???.. ....we'll, I'm just dreaming right now...if I had the time and a place to put them, we'll who knows??
  9. Here's a California '71 with what appears to be 920 gold paint. Seems to be going real cheap for what is claimed to be a rust-free car: http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp;?tracktype=usedcc&searchType=25&pageNumber=0&numResultsPerPage=50&largeNumResultsPerPage=0&sortorder=descending&sortfield=PRICE+descending&certifiedOnly=false&criteria=K-%7CE-ALL%7CM-_65_%7CH-%7CD-_2998_%7CN-N%7CR-10000%7CI-1%7CP-PRICE+descending%7CQ-descending%7CX-antique%7CZ-80124&aff=national&paId=212940006&recnum=3&leadExists=true
  10. Here's a link for some 240/260/280Z metal body parts: http://www.tabcobodyparts.com/html/table_of_contents.htm Here's a link to some fiberglass quarter panels currently on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-240-Z-Rear-Fiberglass-Quarter-Panel-Set_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6763QQhashZitem140086932194QQihZ004QQitemZ140086932194QQrdZ1
  11. Here's a pic of the "Premium" floor pans with frame rails available at MSA and Zedd Findings:
  12. The car sold for $10k.......personally, I don't care for the car, but there are obviously a few people out there that liked it enough to bid a good amount of money on it.
  13. MSA has 2 different floorpan sets to choose from: the low end set and the premium set. I bought the premium set for the '72 and they were plenty wide enough and they also had the drain holes. I highly recommend them.
  14. But seriously folks, someone should save that '71 from the junkyard! Albuquerque is known for its low rust Zs. I'll bet someone could buy this this one cheap and restore her before it goes to the crusher!
  15. Mike, I have to be honest with you, like Stickerman, I had my doubts that you would end up with the car and the local person would get it. But I'm really glad to hear you stuck with it and got the car! There's another '69 production car on Ebay right now (#387), located in Texas that Helopilot spotted. Perhaps another member will end up with this one as well. Here's the link to the thread: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24970
  16. Robert, Looks like there is also a listing for the right tail light as well. If you're interested, I'll bet you or another member in the Albuquerque area could buy the entire car for a song!
  17. This '71 in a junkyard appears to have more than just a couple of tail lights that are in good shape. Anyone in the Albuquerque area should go and check this car out. Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Tail-light-LEFT-1971-240Z_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ33716QQhashZitem260086835538QQihZ016QQitemZ260086835538QQrdZ1
  18. I have a set of a '71 and '72 plates (for both Zs) that my Mom gave me last year. They were originally on our family car back in the day. My late father started a collection of our license plates in the garage that goes all the back to the 1950's. I believe in Colorado it is illegal to drive on the public streets with these old plates, but they sure are fun to put on to take pictures of the car, etc. I put them on the '71 at the Colorado Shine & Show last September, but I forgot to bring a camera with me; however, Dan and some others did and here are a couple pics of the '71 with the old plates, along with a couple pics of the plates.
  19. Mike, You never see '69 240Zsf or sale in this kind of condition. They always seem to be basket cases (no offense, 26th-Z, but the Princess #27 was really rough when you saved her off of Ebay a couple years ago ). I would snatch #237 as quickly as possible if I were you Mike!!
  20. Bo, You would think they would try to clean it up a bit before trying to sell it!
  21. Ken, I quite a few spare Z parts that you can have for very cheap or even free in some cases.......I need to make room in the garage for the '72 which is due back from the body shop next weekend.
  22. Here are 5 good restoration candidates (4 in located in California & 1 California transplant located in Oregon): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Datsun-Z-Series-CALIFORNIA-1972-240-Z-RUNS-AND-DRIVES-GREAT-WHITE-RED-NO-RESERVE_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ6187QQihZ014QQitemZ330086732308QQrdZ1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1971-Datsun-240Z_W0QQitemZ290079996976QQihZ019QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/240Z-1973_W0QQitemZ190081802061QQihZ009QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-240Z-71-ALL-ORIGINAL-BEAUTY_W0QQitemZ120084053183QQihZ002QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/DATSUN-240Z-SURVIVOR-ORIGINAL-PAINT-CALIFORNIA-CAR-N-R_W0QQitemZ250082065254QQihZ015QQcategoryZ6187QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  23. I can only speak for the Denver area, but the job market is good here. It was in the 60s yesterday, today and is expected to be in the 60s again tomorrow. This is typical March weather, but not really typical for February. However, temps in the 60s really isn't that unusual here in February, as winters are normally pretty mild here as I had stated in my earlier post. I have attached a few pics that my daughter took of the front walkway after we shoveled as well as some of our buried back deck & backyard. This was the aftermath of the big snowstorm we had right before Christmas.
  24. Doug N, I recognize that Jaffe Yellow 240Z picture from a old thread here on Classic Zcar.....I didn't realize that you were the one who bought the car from Carl Beck!
