  1. besides de 240z, the next best one is the 300zx TT, 300 hp more than 350z and the engine with 3 bolt on gets 400, it the exterior is still the best for a 90s, and the handling exceptional.

Yea your probably wrigth, is just that I love nissans so much, my dad has a nissan pick up to jeje, so there are 4 nissan infront of my house, thx for teh advice. gonna tune my SUs perfectly to have a good milleage
  5. brinbin old thread back , IMO the 350z is a good car as long is the base model, I dont see the point of spending 10,000 dollars more and have the same power. now that there are a lot of new sprot cars, I think its time for nissan to think of a 350zTT for maybe some 400 hp to compete with the vette, or cobra.

the 240z may not be safe, but is it SUVsthat make cars like miata a mess, for what cause?is like thinking "as long as i am safe in my SUV, donsent matter people in other cars", I am not enforcing the gov, but I would relly prefered the 90s with a lot of real sport cars, rx7, 300zx tt, supra, and SUV with off road tires made for off roading, not lincoln's with street tires and 22 inch that dont even have 4x4, that are making other small cars, less safe to crash with. and raising gas prices. classic cars like 240z are a real minority, if we were a problem they the gov would probably lower the emission's year

Having a car that weight like 2300 pounds should be able to have great milage, in a 100 hp engine.

Hi, my question is, I have a 240z in bad shape, and I am college student who works, so as I see most of you want more power etc, but waht i really need considering price wopuld be aropund 3 in summer is the best economical swap to give the better gas milleage, probably a 4 cyl, the sr20 is expensive. a crappier engine maybe from a sentra (not ser) maybe? or any other one? any advice will be great I am looking for some 30 mpg and not requiering 91 octane. thx in advance guys. Hybrid Z says they only do swaps for more power so no very helpful

I am thinking in using public trans, fro a way to save on gas, my 300zx 90, uses like 50 dlls a week on premium gas, that 200 a month, with my student ID I get all fro 25 a month, that 150 ! more pwer month I can invest in my 240z project

bringin ol thread back sorry, but IMO prices will be around 3 in next summer, and yes I hate SUV, and not because of the type of the is whyu people buy them. the y buy them to look more powerfull among other, to feel control, 98% of hte poeple that have 4x4 dont use, so most SUV would do better in a minivan, its jsut stereype, that mini vans are for women, and a few bunch does buy SUV for offroading or snow, but having excursion and expedition, make an accident far worse for a light car like the 240z. IMO
  11. Hi guys, i have a z32 and a 240z, and when my catalog from xmas came i saw the fx-2 steering wheel and decide to buy, but when i wanted to buy it it said it was only used for car without airbags so they only sell it for Z from 70-89 year, my z32 is a 90 so it dosent have airbags, can i install it anyways, i dont care about the cruise control buttons. or what mods woudl i need to do in order to make it fit, i just want a steerign wheel for my z32 wiht a Z logo
  12. yea, i totally agree with you, civic were less heavy a decade ago than now, super cars now suck, i can't believe 5s in 0-60 on 90s on a 300TT and still 13 years after 5s. rx7 5s in 93 and now the rx8 is low 6s. they are always heavier with little more power so the stay they keep the same power/weight. IMO
  13. thx guys, my engine is fomr a 72 althou th ecar is 73, i know because i toke off the head and look if and it was notched, so its fom a 72, but i won tlike to rev it more than 5.5. thx you guys

  19. sorry guys for grammar the keyboard is was from europe so... ok hers the deal. I have 2 240z a grey one(73) and a red one(72) the red one is for parts and has 4 aluminum (i think)original rims with Z hub caps and it says "nissan" in some small letter, and in the other 240z (73) it has another ones that dosent have Z hub caps and i cant find nissan or datsun everywere, does that mean that they are not factory. The wheels of the 240z (73) are diferent the rear ones from the front ones some are wider and i dont know if datsun made factory wheels that were different rear from fronts. I will later try to put some pics here thx guys

  22. Hi, i bought two 240z one for parts and the other for restoring. a 73 (round carbs and a 71). he mecanic told me the carbs on the 73 air valve pistons were getting stuck because of use so the put the carbs of he 71 on the 73, and he later told me hat the air valve piston in 1 carbs is getting stuck because is to worn or used, but so every time i go to a yunk yurk its going to be he same and i don want to buy the complete carbs (i already have 4), could it be that he is NOT using the correct oil (eas 20 right??) o waht other factor can be? or simple i had bad luck with 3 worn pistons
