  1. As for paint here are the facts, in the old days it was called laqor paint, people loved it, you started on one side when you got back to were u started it was dry and you could contine to paint another coat and another etc, than when all done buff and buff and buff,,, Great paint until now... than came Arclic, I know I spell bad,, anyway its a one coat paint you can add several coats but its not a base clear coat paint, it was better than laqor because it had a better shine, did not require buffing and held up much better in the sun and gravel roads. now the best stuff is urathane paint, its the base clear coat, I have sprayed arclic and the base clear coat. I used the arcric for my gas tank drive shaft etc, one coat and it shines! I than sprayed the base coat, I think it went on just like the old days laqor, as soon as I got back to were I started it was dry, just went around and around until it was a sold yellow.. it went on nice and dry. I thought this is easy! so i fired up the clear and opps this stuff is tuff to spray, you must spray it think enuff that it keeps the wet look and boy you can run it easy.. So all said and done the two part paint is nicests, one coat of clear and it looks like a show car. AS for holding up, my boss painted his 57 truck needed to be repainted in 2 years due to the rock chips, he lives on a gravel road. he re did it with 2 parts, and 5 years later not one chip! and watch out you can NOT paint 2 part over arclic... they sell a primer that preps the arclic but dont even think of spraying clear urathene over the old arclic, so I have been told:dead:
  2. This is a nice looking car, he has put a lot of detail into it, new steering wheel, new rims, recromed or new bumpers, I dout he put all this work into a rust bucket. As for rust.. The rear quarters look real good. i don't like the bra and I dont think he used clear coat base coat paint. Make sure it is not a brand new paint job, it could be a real cheap job. But I would give this a serious look, You would have a huge selection of Z's for $5000. Why are the pics a year old????
