That won't work on my 14" X 7" Rewinds. I'll be getting some "Knockoff" style spinners to replace the Konig centers anyway.

Yes, I forgot to mention the rating feature as I don't allow the DVR to record stuff that it thinks I like. I do rate shows, but only so that they appear in the "TiVo Suggestions" file. "I" make the decision to record or not from there. I also didn't mention the Season Pass feature, but that is one of the best features. I never miss a Formula 1 broadcast (race, qualy, whatever), Survivor, Bill Maher, Deadwood, Reno 911, American Chopper, and a bunch of others. Once a week I spend about 10 minutes selecting shows that I want to watch in addition to the Season Passes that I have set up. You can also search for programming by type of show, for movies by name, director, actor, or genre. If you have a combined DirecTV / TiVo unit (like MikeW and I), there is no lifetime service available. We are limited to a monthly subscription. It's only $5-$6 a month, so it really isn't a burden (though IF I could get a lifetime subscription, I would do it). It beats the hell out of manually recording and/or viewing over the air (free to air) programming.

Yes, they are stocked in practically every auto parts store. There are several brands, but I prefer the Redline brand. http://www.redlineoil.com/products_coolant.asp

Gotta love them ebay sellers that sell you only part of what should be a comprehensive kit (without bothering to mention the missing parts). I haven't seen an installed 240Z kit (in person) for 20 years. Are there any "snaps" built into the cover? Any metal grommeted holes? Anything that looks like it could be intended to mount it? My 280Z 2+2 Tonneau Covers have snaps built in that secure to the strut towers, and the shock cords incorporated to the rear sides of the cover to secure to the hatch.

Late in the racing season of 2004, that commercial was on Speed TV and ESPN2. http://www.tivo.com/0.0.asp TiVo is a for pay service that includes a Digital Video Recorder (mine is a 100 hour DVR and DirecTV satellite receiver) and service that consists of a televison programmining feature that looks ahead for about 2 weeks so you can see what is on TV (and when) in the future. Also has a search engine that you can set up to automatically record programs that you choose. It's really quite nifty. Mine is always recording so I can hit a pause button and answer the phone, or whatever, then sit back down a continue where I left off. Mine also has 2 tuners so I can be recording 2 different programs at the same time, while I'm watching a previously recorded progam. Fast forward through commercials is great. I watch a 1/2 hour show in 22 minutes, and hour show in about 44-45 minutes. Like their advertisements say, "It'll change the way you watch TV", and "TV on YOUR schedule". You have to buy the hardware, then pay a small monthly fee for the service.

There is also this thread: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9282&page=2&pp=15&highlight=Tonneau Did your cover come with ANY mounting parts, or did the guys only sell the actual cover?

The two links below are to the "Sticky Notes" at the top of the Technical Articles forum. http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2204 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5128
  9. All I'm saying is to look at the mfg date on your car and make your purchase based on it and the data from S/T. That's what I'd do anyway.
  10. Why should I have to listen to your poor taste in music while you drive down the street (half a block away) at midnight?
  11. or brag about it :stupid:
  12. Bambikiller240 replied to Alex 240Z's post in a topic in Engine & Drivetrain
see post directly above (#4) Also, since this isn't a technical article, it's been posted in the wrong forum!
  13. Look at the data plate in your driverside door jam to confirm the mfg date of your chassis. That will tell you when your car was built and thus you'll know which set to buy. The S/T Rear bar for 240Z comes as a kit with all the hardware necessary to install including brackets. Vicky: Yes, you are correct. same-o same-o
  14. Mineral Spirits (Paint Thinner) worked well for me and is much cheaper than Xylene, Lacquer Thinner, or Acetone. I'd wipe the entire surface with it to ensure a clean surface for whatever you have in mind for the metal. (welding, POR, Paint. etc)

URL to parse........ is used only if you have pictures on your (or another) website to upload here However long it takes for an administrator to have the time to review them. They are unpaid volunteer's and get to it as quickly as they can. Usually within 24 hours.

  18. Yep, 27mm socket is the one for the crankshaft. Rotate in direction of normal engine operation.

The bumpers are different, the brackets are different, the guards (uprights) are different, the rubber strips are different.
  20. Halz: You ae correct that many of the cars do look alike, but due to significant rules changes this year, the cars look different from last year. I am sure that many will look similar this year also, just different from last year. Yeah, that Williams nose on the 2004 car was different, wasn't it. Too bad it didn't work worth a $hit. Oh well.
  21. No I don't hate you, I've tried to help answer many of your questions. That is fine, but some of these questions can be resolved looking at your manual. But, IMO you seem to prefer to not read it and even try to find the answer yourself. Now you are blowing smoke. You've told us the car is an hour away from you, and also you've mentioned that you go to school 18 hours a week and work 40 hours a week. Yet you post these questions all week long. And the range of questions is scattered all over the automotive landscape. There seems to be no focus to what you are trying to accomplish. You have started 13 threads to date. I only listed 7 of them. (I didn't include the "What V8" thread and 5 others)
  22. I am not saying that you didn't, but one has to wonder how this was accomplished (or exactly what you consider a "restoration") when you have to post threads like these: Note: All of them with an Exclamation Point like it's urgent or something, BTW http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16424 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16446 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16449 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16488 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16511 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16457 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16540
  23. No, But I suspect you do (or will someday)
