Sunbelt Motor Build info
No, they haven't changed their name. Sunbelt is still there at the same location. I just got this info by email from Keith Thomas, well known as the brain behind Chet Whittel's ITS National Championships in a Z car a few years ago. "They're still there. 770) 932-0160. I'm afraid they are way too busy building Spec Miata and World Challenge BMW engines to bother with the website." Regards, Keith Thomas **Wayne Burstein also provided the same information.

vin#403
Thanks for the pic, Chris. Yeah, I'd call it a vented hat rotor also. Otherwise, much confusion could result since it's not a true "vented rotor" in the common sense of the term. IMO, it makes sense that Nissan went away from that design. It doesn't appear to be very beefy.

Early 70 Z's had vented rotors? really? never heard about that before.

Some of the parts in early Z cars were unique. 26th-Z can be much more specific than I. Also, yes there is such a thing as a hatch glass without defroster wires.(it's one of those unique items)

Where's my Clutch!!
Stephen is right, we don't. That is the point of the expression. It's like saying "What am I, something that you don't like?" Let us know how it goes when you give the car a good run through the hills.

Hood hinges, color
Mine are body paint colored. That's not to say that they may or may not be cad plated under the paint, but mine are metallic blue, like the rest of the body.

quick release steering wheel hub
Why? "Quick Release" doesn't equate to "Random-Release". F1, Champcar, IRL, NAPCAR and a lot of other racer cars used quick-release Steering wheel hubs and don't have problems with them.

1973 240z wont start
The boneheads at Chevy didn't realize when they named the car that "No va" means "does not go" in Spanish. They virtually killed any chance of the car being successful with spanish speaking people or in spanish speaking countries, like Mexico. Who's gonna buy a car with a name that announces that it doesn't go. I find it funny that you have a Datsun that "No va" and you are trying to sell it to buy the original No va.

You already have a Datsun that "No Va".

Video: OS Giken TC16-MA2 and a LY-240Z racing
That is what I've been trying to do also. All day today the D/L has been crapping out at anywhere from 3.8MB to 9.76MB Quite Annoying!

Video: OS Giken TC16-MA2 and a LY-240Z racing
I've been trying to download the second video for DAYS. The D/L always crashes before I get the full 16.1 Meg. Tryed again today and it crashed after 10.7 Mb. Grrrrr!

Finally - My Z Arrives
Out here they do carry at least 6 of the BP6ES plugs (I haven't had a problem getting a full set, yet). There was a guy on eBay about 9 months ago who was selling the NGK Plug/Coil wires set with a "Buy It Now" price of $25. IIRC, the shipping charge was quite reasonable also (something like $4). He seemed to have many of them.

6.5" Infinity Kappas in Doors?
My car has 4.5" speakers in the doors, installed by the original owner. Besides having to butcher the door panels, he had to carve (enlarge) spaces in the metal interior panel of the doors to get the speakers to fit. If you don't mind damaging your panels and doors, you can probably get them to fit. But wouldn't you rather listen to the L24 sing?

What Fire Extinguisher to buy?
Ah, Thats what we were dealing with. "Closed areas." We didn't have hand held extinguishers. Our building was equipped with a large Halon system with nozzles in the ceiling. If a fire started, all of the nozzles would go off and flood the room with Halon. Thanks, ChrisA
