May 11th, Z to the track?
Took a long time to D/L on a Dial up. 34.5 Megs. Pretty cool video though. Only a little corny, but good editting and overall I'd give it a high 7 or an 8 out of 10. Thanks

I need to come clean

I need to come clean
Though there are many "events" ocurring in my garage (both sides of the garage), even I don't wear my CZCC shirt in there. Stains, lots of stains to be worried about......... Will, You don't happen to know the Dry Cleaner that Clinton used, do you?

I need to come clean
Robert: Hope you you got the response you were looking for. I'd hate to disappoint you. Carl PS: Did you finish working on your Windshield Wiper system?

I need to come clean
It would have been better to have used a ZX club T-Shirt as a polishing rag on your 240Z. No one would have cared about that (except people like me who would have praised you!).

Mystery Konig Silver wheels for free! will they fit?
1. OK 2. not necessarily, but OK 3. Panasports do look nice. Too bad everybody and their brother has them. 4 Oh, so you are one of those "bad boys". 5. Free is always good, but opinions differ. They are too RICE for me. I'd sell them and get something else.

Straightening Warped Crankshaft
Mike I suggested he PM the link to this thread, not to ask the question in the PM. Phred will share the info.

Mystery Konig Silver wheels for free! will they fit?
Wait a minute! In your previous post (which you have since editted) you said you didn't like the wheels, that in your opinion they didn't look good. Now it's all sweetness and light??? How about a little honesty when posting. Can't have it both ways!

Straightening Warped Crankshaft
PM "Phred" with the link to this thread. He can advise you. I'd think that what Frank Honsowetz says is straight information (he has a long history with Nissan and at one time headed their IRL engine program), but I'd wait until you talk to Phred before "whacking" on the crank anymore. From your description of the project, a day or so lost here doesn't seem like it's going to hurt anything (at least not as much as ruining your crankshaft would hurt) JMO,

Test Fit
I can see lugnuts now, but nothing else.

Re assembling my '71 Z. Need help with wiring...
How many wires in the pigtail? What color code is/are the wire(s)? What type of connector(s) on this pigtail? bullet? square? spade? mfg date of car? picture?

Chrome Rewinds
Those are the ones I was talking about in Post #2. You'll be hard pressed to find decent aluminum wheels any cheaper. Weight is reasonably light too (13 lbs for the 14" X 7"). I have a set in boxes waiting for my car.
-
Test Fit
Oh good, I'm not the only one who can't see them.

Chrome Rewinds
I wonder if Panasport sells those wheels Chromed, or if the buyer sent them out to be pimpified?

Welding floor panels sealed with Por 15?
Bob M: You may want to send a PM to our member "EScanlon" regarding POR'ing the rails. IIRC he had a way of applying the POR inside of panels. In any event, he has experience with wolding in panels and floorpans, and applying POR. I am sure he can advise you as to the best procedures. Carl

Blackhawk Show 2005
At one time Pete Brock and John Morton were siad to be attending. Is that still true? No mention on the flyer.

Welding floor panels sealed with Por 15?
My suggestion would be to weld first, & POR later, when the welding is completed.

Chrome Rewinds
You won't find Rewinds in Chrome. They are Aluminum and come either painted Silver (with Polished Lip), or painted Gun Metal (with Polished Lip) MSA, or "ggtyler" (on eBay) are good places to get these.

brake swap
I'm not at home ATM, and I don't remember exactly when the change from A to B type trans occured. Sometime in 1971 model year I believe. My previous Z (1971, HLS30-23313) had the A type until I put in a 1973 B type trans in it. My current Z (1972 HLS30-55703) came with the B type trans from Nissan.
