Well Tom, These people are dying because of someone else's idea which was not necessarily their own. Because of something that was crammed down the publics throat with justification made up of false statements, deceptions, and lies. Other deaths are no less important, but these people are not victims of an accidental situation, or a disease that was contracted randomly. These deaths were FAR more preventable, if only our government hadn't practiced poor planning, made poor choices, executed by poor leaders. I wonder how acceptable the losses would be if one of them was your daughter, or son, or neighbor. PS, Our economy is being bled dry so that these fine men and women can have the privilege of dying in a far off land that does not want them there.

BTW, I WILL find a list of "allied" personnel who have been lost.

Been there. Leave her at home, a car cover is no protection at all from the things that can damage your car the most. Like AHOLES and other FOOLS. try to get home every month or so and enjoy a cruise (and visit your family). JMO

I've updated the list again. The toll is now well over 1000 men and women of the US Armed Forces who have been lost. I wasn't able to find a list of casualties from other countries since the last update, but there have been lives lost from many of the countries aiding our troops. Remember them all as you head out to vote today. (I'm not telling you how to vote, your heart will do that. All you have to do is listen.....and ACT!)

Oct. 18 Spc. Andrew C. Ehrlich, 21, of Mesa, Ariz., died in Muqdadiyah, Iraq, of non-combat related injuries. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 2nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Vilseck, Germany. Oct. 20 Sgt. Douglas E. Bascom, 25, of Colorado Springs, Colo., died as result of enemy action in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. He was assigned to 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, Calif. Oct. 24 Sgt. Dennis J. Boles, 46, of Homosassa, Fla., died in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, when he was participating in a 10-mile road march and collapsed. He was assigned to the Army National Guard's 171st Aviation Battalion, Brooksville, Fla. Lance Cpl. Richard P. Slocum, 19, of Saugus, Calif., died due a non-combat related vehicle accident near Abu Gharib, Iraq. Yes, it really is not that bad of a job. you don't have to remove the Heater Control Panel, just disconnect the cables where they attach to the heater box down under the dash. I took my seats out, and steering wheel off also so I had more room to maneuver (upside down unplugging wires and disconnecting cables, etc) One thing I would suggest is to address any heater hose, heater core, water control valve, etc issues while you have the dash out. It could save you grief later.

Actually the wiring comes out with the dashboard. Your car will be left with the heater box and blower moter. It's been many years since I removed a dash, but it is really not too difficult. You can undo all of the heater control cables (down low on both sides of the trans tunnel), and Ignition and turn signal wiring at the Steering Collumn, fuse box wiring beneath the radio, chassis rear wiring harness and engine bay harness low on the passengerside of the firewall all by yourself It does help to have another person with you when you actually lift the dash out of the car. The FSM has some good detail about dash removal. Note: This post is NOT a complete description of removal of dash.

AND we'll also get it at Midnight ALSO (11-08-04 @ 3AM Eastern) and so should you guys (according to The History Channels website).

DirecTV broadcasts the East Coast feed of History Channel to all USA customers. i.e. We can view Alex the Grape at 5PM PST and/or 9PM PST, and the Z show at 8PM PST and/or Midnight PST on DirecTV. Cable service may be another story entirely. (it usually is) I'm using my DirecTV DVR/TiVO on screen programming to look it up also.
