Valvetrain adjustment
Are there any good articles about inspecting and adjusting the valvetrain on an L24? I would like to pop the valve cover and do some inspecting to see how it all looks but was hoping for some guidelines. Also, if I do end up doing any valvetrain adjustment, what tools should I have on hand? I have most of the basic tools already, but fre specialty tools. Thanx! Justin 73 240Z

Amp Draw I can safely add
I've got some play in the whole fan setup and it's causing some vibration at the front of the motor. I have a few things to check, but I was thinking about replacing the water pump pullery and getting rid of the whole fan setup. Free up the motor a little bit...

Amp Draw I can safely add
I have a stock 73 240Z in terms of the electrical system. No added parts to draw extra power. Is there a standard amount of draw I can safely add to the car without affecting other systems? I mean, if I add a 20 amp draw will it cause significant loss across the rest of the system? I'm specifically thinking about removeing the clutch fan and putting in an 8.5 amp draw electric fan. I just want to make sure I won't run into any problems. I'm also thinking about better stereo, etc so I'm trying to make sure I'm OK with what I have. Thanx for any info!!! Justin

Valvetrain Clatter
I'm assuming the clatter I hear inside the valve cover of my 73Z is attributable to: 1) soggy springs causing poor contact between the rocker arm and the camshaft, and/or 2) wear and tear on the cam and rocker arms causing improper clearances which leads to slapping. I know MSA has an entire kit for about $470 to replace the valvetrain with performance parts, but if I just want to leave my engine stock, what's the most likely/affordable way to clean up the clatter in the engine? Replace Rack Bushings Laden or Unladen?
Good evening everyone, I was just wondering if I should replace the steering rack bushings with the weight of the car on the wheels or if I should jack the front up and do the work with the weight off the suspension. Any thoughts appreciated! Justin 73 240Z
