Well the tour is almost on its way. A couple of weeks to go and then it is fun time!!! We will be on the road with four cars, Dutchman Auke, 240z members Spanish Symon, German Rainer and myself. And this picture shows what we will aim for. Is it not a beauty?

Targa Tasmania
I like to ad the Tasmania rally to my Victory Lane list as I do for four years now but I can’t find a complete entry list. Can you? All I can find is a car by car

Dealer Model
And a Fairlady, a 240Z, a 280ZX, a Twin. But still they are rare! And yes, they where given to special people.

snap!
When you think you are driving alone in the middle of nowhere, some photographer jumps out of the corner and snaps you about 04.00 hours in the morning!!!

fuel stop
The first fuel stop some where deep in the Ardennes. I aspect the shop was contracted for filling up almost 200 cars. That will keep you wake!

three, two , one....
Picture taken just after start. Car is clean, crew is stressful. But that’s normal in the beginning.

rear hatch hinge seals
I also tried to find them but nobody makes or has them. I tried Courtesy and Victoria too. But that was over a year ago. I ended with a in good shape second hand ‘kit’.

Stock or Racing Seats
They look very nice I must admit. On the other hand this seat looks more to a sofa then a seat. But it could be the colour. Working this way gives you a lot of extra work. You have to buy second hand SAAS seats, (I don’t know what they cost) take theme to the upholstery guy. He is costing a lot of money, for sure!!!. What is your opinion of the Porsche Carrera 2 seat I mentioned, at the end the cost would be the same and they look more slimmer?

Stock or Racing Seats
I agree with Alan. Stay away from the ‘new look’ old seats. I also am looking for nice ‘in period’ seats. The bucket seats I like very much. Someone posted Porsche seats also great looking and similar to the Datsun!! here is a link to the Corbeau GT-8

April Fool?
Hi all, Not only ‘Mr Ed, editor of VRJâ€, makes mistakes. Sports Z magazine can learn a thing or two. They claim Datsun had three victories in the EAS, ’71 – ’72 and ‘73 If you look at the picture you can see it for your self but in the mean time I quote: “in 1971 the Datsun 240Z won the event outright - a feat that would be repeated in 1972 and 1973†Sure, we where successful but not that successful! As a good friend of my quote; “However, I think it is a big mistake to make because if a Z authority says that the 240z won the EAS in 1972 people are going to think that.†If you like to see the whole story (the victory lane) visit www.z-point.nl/70.htm and that counts you in Mr David Bexfield!!!!

in a real display
This was taken during the presentation of the 350Z in Amsterdam. Nissan used my and other cars to show the heritage of Z cars. I think you will tell me what does the 1969 doing there? It is more or less a ‘time line’.

dirty mind
The wheels are full of original brown Belgian Ardennes mud. Yes, I’m afraid so. They don’t like you to make advertising others then there own. Otherwise the cars will be full of decals. This is a rule of the FIVA. If you look at the other competitors they are much more ‘normal’. I’m to aggressive they say!!!!
