RB25DET series 2 engine for sale
Hi Guys, i am going a different direction with my project, so i have decided to sell the RB25DET engine that i was going to install into my 240K.. (and unfortunately i don't have a Z i could put it in, though i would love to!) here are the details: Item:complete Series 2 RB25DET - standard engine in great condition, comes with Turbo, loom, ECU etc. Age: series 2, so >96 Condition: excellent condition Price: 1600 To Fit: any car (What car) Location:North Western Sydney Contact: Kent - 0416022808 Comments: complete Series 2 RB25DET - standard engine in great condition, comes with Turbo, loom, ECU etc. i have replaced the headgasket (and many other gaskets, head bolts, waterpump (R33 GT-R), idler and tensioner bearings, timing belt. The camshaft covers have been powder coated then painted in a pretty metallic red. only reason i replaced these parts were for safety (and they were easier to do before i put it in the car) Selling as i am going a different direction now with my project i also have a number of other upgrade parts that the buyer can have first dibs on (including a brand new greddy intake plenum, powder coated and painted to match) owes me over $2300, but will sell for $1600, pickup in Sydney (can ship if you can make your own arrangements to get it picked up), be quick, this engine is in great condition! will get some pictures over the weekend and post them.

Hi guys, not sure if anyone here is interested, but i have decided to go a slightly different direction with my car build.. no, i am not selling any of my k's.. but unfortunately that means that i am going to be selling the RB25DET engine that i have been planning to put in the K.. anyone here interested in it (not selling the engine mounts etc.. just the complete RB25 with turbo, ecu, loom, etc.)? i have never been sure about if we can really post for sale topics in here.. but being 240k related.. pm me for details (i am in sydney) Kent

duh sorry... i meant, maybe the c110 sedan is the same (i read somewhere that the floorpan was almost identical.. but this could have been based on the later c210)

datsun 240K carpet kit
sorry it took me so long.. it was definately tru-fit (it was a 2 piece st that i ordered at summernats one year).. it was a few years back now (maybe 3-4 years..) but i am hoping they still do them! it was so cheap too.. $129 shipped!! for the best carpet they did (which is now in bonzelite's car ) maybe the c210 ones are the same? if you can convince them to find the mould, and get a good price, let me know! i need 2 sets! (i tried a set off ebay, and it was nowhere near as good)

anyone for a brake upgrade?
no, i am afraid not.. but it should work with the standard booster.. i am using a 1" DR30 skyline master on mine (apparently pretty rare now).. and i "think" that the booster was a 10" R31 item (but it could have been a DR30 one too..)

anyone for a brake upgrade?

anyone for a brake upgrade?
Hi Matt, unfortunately i didn't actually get the R31/Z32 combo installed, so i can't really help.. i originally had the hilux/accord combo on the front (with steel wheels, not that it was ever on the road in this setup), which i then replaced with R34 GTT calipers and rotors with custom mounts. I still have the Z32 N/A calipers here though if anyone wants them.. and i also have 2 BNIB rear caliper mount to suit a DR30 (early models that used a bracket rather than being welded to the arm), which should fit straight up to the rear axle..

datsun 240K carpet kit
i will try and find the reciept for the 1st set of carpets i bought a couple of years ago at summernats.. those where the best that i have seen! it was a place in melbourne i think

My new 240K
yes, well.. it looks like i got done.. the auction only included the fuel cap side, not both so i am still on the hunt for the other one.. it is hard to find genuine ones though, the ones on yahoo at the moment seem to be knock off's (one with a part number that matches the C110 GT's cap).

240K GT parts
thanks, i will certainly look into it.. i certainly don't like the idea of sitting under the car for months scraping and wiping yes.. unfortunately i can only blame myself.. i didn't think when i put it on and i was eager to do "something" at nights in the garage.. after finding the rust that i did under the primer, i want to make sure there is no more lurking around (and por it!) a little pain now seems better than pain in 4 years time! (especially after she is all done!)

240K GT parts
I actually rang a "soda blaster" on friday afternoon (couldn't find a sand blaster anywhere in sydney online or in the yellowpages).. they wanted $1900 just to do the bottom.. right... anyways.. i posted the question on another forum, and they advised that even sandbalsting doesn't work very well for tar type sound deadener.. and the best method is by chipping it off (maybe with dry ice), and tehn scrubbing with kerosene.. that is going to be fun! i may still give sand blasting a go.. but i can't think of anywhere that i would have the room to be able to do it and not have to worry about the mess etc.. i also noticed on the weekend that my GT doesn't have the front tow loop on the tie rod mount.. interesting.. the car also has/had A/C (not sure if originally fitted, i presume so) there are a few major spots that need to be repaired from rust though (including the floor pan around the drivers side seat rear mounts, and the usual spots (sills, rear qtr etc.).. i am really going to have to get better at welding i think..

Australian complianced GT's
mine is KHGC110 000280, ADR compliance plated 1/73 as Datsun coupe GT and it is red legally then.. does that mean the car should have been sold as a "Datsun Coupe GT" rather than 240K GT.. as 240k isn't actually on the plate?
