  1. i just got the SWR VT kit fitted on my 240k.. http://www.project240k.com/images/displayimage.php?album=12&pos=10 it seems very good and very very neat!, however there are very slight clearence issues with the handbrake cable where it goes through the trailing arm (i havn't got to fix it yet). it is also pretty $$$$ (prob over $2500 in the end). obviously (from the pics), the car is not on the road et, so i can't comment on the braking performance... but it should be PRETTY impressive My whole braking system now consists of: DR30 1" Master Cylinder DR30 10" Booster R34 GTT Calipers and Disks (296mm) SWR VT/Falcon rear brake kit (with integrated banksia brake) i am selling all the bits i accumulated for a rear DR30 conversion before i went for the SWR kit.. thread is here http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23570 a very good head start on the DR30 conversion!

yep they are.. i assume the other ones are for bride? not sure, i guess you would need to compare the spacing (on the website).. the instructions that came with the seats were generic, so that doesn't help... maybe worth checking out yahoo auctions for pics.. i don't think there are too many manufacturers of seat rails for C110

good work, let me know who you get to paint the thing (and how much), i am scared to find out at the moment how much it will cost me to get it all painted..

i paid $1550 for a 2nd hand set of recaro SR3's in very good contion, these came with a set of Falcon recaro seat rails that i later sold for around $150 I have seen sets go for $1000-1100 if your quick (watch SAU, sylvia forums etc.) i think the hard bit would be to get somebody over there to order them for you (i don't think they will ship directly), i guess check EMS to see what 12.5Kg would cost (i am guessing $100+) pics here http://www.project240k.com/images/thumbnails.php?album=14

thay are such an amazing looking car!! now i just have to wait for their value to drop here.. or start saving and go live in the UK for a year (not such a bad idea really) i would be interested in how it goes bringing the M3 across, make sure you keep me informed

hmm.. they look strangely like WMD's from iraq.. and you say he is in the import/export market.. interesting... if he can prove he owned it previously, would customs necessarily know that the car had a little hiatus under a different legal owner? i certainly have a new found respect for 911's after being in a turbo around the nurburgring, it left my boosted R33 GT-R for dead!, how about an M6 or even a DB7/9 (now that is a car i would really really love to own)

it certainly saved me a bit of money i can use (or is that waste ) elsewhere!
  9. i can have a look in the parts manuals etc. i have to see if it lists the GT-R track width.. i did read it somewhere too..

thanks, but i am attempting to replace my whole cluster with independant guages (if i can get it through engineering that is, the guages are autometer's)

that is such a shame, the M3 would be a nice car to drive (though personally i would spring for an RS4 or M5 ) what country is your brother in? europe?

does it matter what compressor/drier etc. that you use?? My C110 apparently has the internal A/C bits (not sure what it was out of), but because i am running the RB25, i would prefer to use all the RB25 bits on the engine and bay etc. will this work with the evaporator in the box? or could they be incompatible? i wasn't going to bother with A/C, but i have been TOLD by my significant other that leaving it out is not an option

as some of you know, i have been looking at trying to get some seat rails for my recaro SR3 seats, to fit the 240k.. After a bit of searching, i found a company in tokyo that sells the seat rails that i needed!! Luckily for me, i had family going over for a couple of 2 week stints in tokyo, and i was able to get the rails delivered to their hotel so that they could lug them home for me (12.5kg total, i wouldn't wish that on anyone other than family http://www.howars.co.jp/search_result_free.php?free=C110 The part numbers were N094SR and N093SR I was a little worried at what the rails would be like, seeing as the web didn't show pictures, and google translator didn't workout so well for me on this site. I was very surprised to find that they were actually genuine Bride seat rails! and for the set it ended up costing me the princely sum of AU$250!!! (and that is for the pair!) They fitted perfectly (as i would expect), and i now have mounted seats (one big tick on my list of things to do!) The only down side is for the passenger (only because of my roll cage, and the cross brace behind the front seats), the passanger seat can not be reclined back very far, unless they are sitting on the dashboard.. but that isn't my problem i will post some pics tonight, i left my camera at home this morning

blue domes? that is pretty cool.. mine are green, with half the dome covered in white paint, as you said, obviously spray painted
  15. will the L28 even fit?? i thought the L20 equipped C110's had shorter bonnets? congrats on the purchase! and welcome to the community!

Hi Guys, is anyone here thinking of upgrading the rear drums to disks? i need to sell some parts to help me save for the next part of my project i am sure that these parts will be snapped up pretty quickly by the Z guys, but you guys have first pref. Firstly, i did a bit of research into what should be a simple conversion for rear brakes on Z's and 1600's as there is a tonne of info flying around for them, and they shouldn't be too much different to the 240K. The solution i found was similar to the common mod in the US, using maxima disks, calipers and early model caliper mounts. but instead, using DR30 skyline parts. i basically run out of time to find a 2nd DR30 caliper, and had to go with a commodore/falcon conversion instead.. i am just looking to recover some of my costs ( a lot more than what i am selling it for), it took me a long time to accumulate these parts. I have accumulated the following parts: 2 x Nissan Bolt on DR30 caliper mounts ($120ea from nissan) 2 x Used DR30 Discs (lots of meat left, needs a shave though) 2 x Used DR30 Swing arms and stub axles 2 x Used DR30 disc shields 1 x Used DR30 Caliper with brake pad 1 x Used DR30 handbrake cable (one side) 1 x Used crossmember (bit the swing arms mount to) Sell all together for $400 please understand that in theory, this should all fit up, but i didn't get it fitted to my car, so i can't offer any guarentee's.. but anyone half competent should be able to make the necesary modifications (if needed) i also have a brand new OE 15/16" Master Cylinder out of a US Spec 280Z, sell for $190 (SWR sell similar for $348!), brake outputs are on the left side of the M/C. All you should need to complete this, is a 2nd caliper, shave the discs, then fit to the 240k!! oh, you may need bigger wheels too I am afraid i am not interested in seperating at this stage, but bit's you don't use can easily be sold to DR30 guys (especially the swing arms and crossmember, as they are commonly damaged when hitting gutters sideways etc.). Pickup in Sydney, unless you can arrange something I also still have the NA 300ZX (26mm wide) front calipers, powdercoated in red with new seals if anyone is interested.. Kent
  17. that is pretty amazing! in australia, as you probably know the 240k (locally badged C110) was sold here in big numbers, it was a very popular car.. and to be honest, in the past 3 years i have seen only about 4 on the road (not including the 2 i owned).. the C110 and C210 popularity is starting to grow here now with a lot of the later skyline owners (that's where i came from).. it always amazes me that whenever i mention i own a 240k to anyone over the age of 35, they all have very fond memories of the 240k, many having owned them at some stage in their life.. anyway, it is good to see that you are all interested in the C110, it is certainly a good thing if your buying up all the wrecks here in australia, better they go to a good home than rust in a paddock somewhere.

just make sure you tell them it is either a coupe or sedan though.. they will be different
  19. khughes replied to 73skyline's post in a topic in 240K Skyline
78-81 is the C210 skyline, so yes, they would be very different they definately do C110 carpet kits on ebay in australia
  20. Japanese Domestic model (JDM)
  21. someone here probably knows better, but wouldn't you put the L24 pan on the L28? dipstick may need to be relocated to the L24 position too??
  22. did i miss something?
  23. thanks, i have been looking for something like that for quite a while.. i orignally bought the ADR CD from the govt.. but this is much better and easier to understand Kent
  24. hmm.. let me know how you go with it then...i may be able to get away with a similar strategy as i am actually using Z31 halfshafts, 260Z Diff, and 280Z stub axles.. so not sure what that will allow me, but i hope the Z31 (or 280Z) would have been a little more "civilised" when it came to wheel widths..

oh man.. i have a massive mess of wires now! and just my luck, i can't find an R33 GTST full body wiring diagram anywere (engine diagrams are no problem).. i have a LOT of tracing and guessing to do.. i also don't have any body control modules etc. so not sure if that will affect me,
