  1. yeah that is exactly how we are now planing to do it (sort of) The C110 has the front bumper bar mounts right next to the radiator support, unlike the Prince which has them much lower down. but we had a look at it today and it looks like i am going to have to do a similar one as in the photo above, but have the piping go stright into the engine bay at a 90" bend. this means i have to get a thin radiator made up that will allow the piping to clear around the sides, but atleast i can get it roughly 100mm thick so hopefully it won't affect heat that much. , had another look at it today and the only option i can see
  2. Bugger, i was around at my mates place yesterday who is doing the engine and gearbox mount for me. I had also asked him to mount the R32 GTR radiator and intercooler i had bought for it The radiator was to be mounted behind the support and the intercooler in at the bottom of the support with the intercooler piping going into the wheel well through a hole cut out on both sides of the front apron.. of course when i sized up the intercooler (call it wishfull thinking i guess), i didn't realise (well i do now i think about it of course) that the front bar mounts go right through where i planned to have the intercooler bugger i am stupid now it looks like i am going to have to try and get a custom intercooler made that would fit into the radiator area (including end tanks and intercooler piping), which means that i am also going to have to get a custom thicker sized radiator made also to take the increased heat of the engine (due to the RB and the intercooler sitting in front) How are the rest of you Turbo conversion guys handling the radiator and intercooler? i looked into a air to water intercooler, but these get heat soaked to easily (though they are a lot smaller apparenly i am looking at around $800 each for a radiator and intercooler but i am still not confident how it will all fit.. and just when i thought i was actually getting somewhere

i would imagine it is going to be a while yet before the front and rear spoilers will be available. we have yet to work out a cheap way to get them from japan (i have a rear valance to ship with it so it is rather heavy and awkward), it may have to come by sea, and then i have to send it to phil and have him make up the moulds etc.. it will definately happen, just not sure on the time frame.

do you know the colour code of your car? it should be on one of the compliance plates in the engine bay. it looks like it is the GT-R grey that i want to do my car in. congrats! that looks like a very clean example! how long have you had it?

from sizing it up it looks like the rears simply need to have the drums and backing plate removed, a mounting plate made up and welded to the frame and a handbrake cable customised.. if anyone is interested, i will seperate the R31 new rotors with the rest $250 for the rear DBA rotors (advertised on the R31 forums, so they could go quickly) $200 for the rest (i would need to dbl check the used disk thickness) maybe it would be worth going the Toyota/Honda fronts and the R31 rears?

If anyone is serious about a bigger upgrade, i am also going to be selling the parts i collected for a 300ZX/R31 front and rear upgrade: Pair of Nissan 300ZX Non-Turbo 4 piston Alluminimum 26mm calipers (paid $100) 300ZX calipers powdercoated red ($100) set of 300ZX caliper seals (paid $170) Pair of Nissan R31 Pintara single pot calipers (paid $50) calipers powdercoated in red ($100) set of R31 caliper seals (paid $30) Set of R31 pintara rotors (paid $50) set of brand new Ferodo Extra Pads (payed $78) 2x brand new DBA Slotted 616 rotors (bought for $260) looking for $270 for the 300ZX calipers and $450 for the rears, some work would be needed fitting the brakes, ie. brackets, front rotors and hand brake cables etc. they are all here, off the car etc. so if you want them you can have them! a bargain compared to what i am looking at now spending on brakes

Hi Guys, i am posting this a little early, but in the near future i am going to be upgrading the brakes on my 240K The Car currently has a set of upgraded front brakes which i am looking to sell (they were on the shell when i bought it). My car currently has C210 struts, but i do not think this makes a difference (i believe they were only swapped as the struts were height adjustable) The Calipers are Toyota Hilux with Honda accord discs. They fit under my 14" rims and according to the datsun 1600 guys, are a pretty good upgrade to the 240k ones! Not sure what they are worth, i guess around $350 for the calipers, pads and rotors? they will have to come off when the upgrade takes place, as i believe you need to remvoe the bearing to get the rotor off (:sleepy: ) so i am not going to attempt to do it myself. anyone interested?

James, what happened when you got your GTR flares copied? did he charge you for making the moulds etc.. did he wreck your originals i may be getting (fingers crossed) a fibreglass copy of the rear wing and front lip, would be interested in getting a mould made up somewhere for future safety... and it would be good to have all of them available at the one place (and possibly get us discounts for 240k members

hopefully he will reply to atleast one of us and we may find out still, it is a shame... i guess it is good to see such an interest in the 240k though, maybe the market value on them may be on the rise

this is the only responce i got, i tried sounding him out to see if it was for sale elsewhere, but didn't get a response... "There is a couple of stone chips and a very small amount of scratches underneith. Not %100 sure if it will go a long distance as it was my uncles car and he drove it just to the shops. I would feel confident in driving a long distance. I am not a expert but the motor is in top condition. I don't know how the radator run"

  24. khughes replied to boyblunda's post in a topic in 240K Skyline
$17k isn't too bad considering the money he would have spent on it, it wouldn't have been a cheap project (they never are)
