Hi Guys, I am looking for an R200 Open ended Diff (with CV halfshafts) out of a 260/280Z, with a ratio of 3.7 or 3.9. WOuld be great if it has the moustache bar as well Preferably in sydney, but will travel up/down the coast if need be.. Thanks Guys Kent

wohoo, i just checked the ones i got, and they too are the Skyline variety.. they where from c210's as well (i actually got 3 of them for $17.50 )

good point.. but i owuld think the shock mounts would be reinforced a little better than just being bolted to the inner skin.. i have a crap memory, and can't find any pictures, but i am sure that it bolts up to the inner side of the guard anyways, which is reinforced with the metal structure in the boot.. i will check that though.. we had a crap time trying to get the hired welder to work properly.. so when we get one that does, we will probably weld it up anyways.. just to be on the safe side..

hmm.. wish i knew a little more about offsets etc.. found a set of 15" watanabe RS's for about $200 a rim, just trying to check what the PCD is on them.. any idea what sort of offset i will need (though i am sure it will be different according to the brakes etc.. especially since we are customising the brakes , i know i know.. no easy answers )

no problems really, turned out better than expected actually! i had been planning to have to weld up little bridges between the inside and outside skins, luckily when we cut the outside skin, we came up with the idea of just bodgying up the bridges by bending the metal (without them, i was worried the panels would vibrate, and flex a lot). now i really only need to cover the area with a couple of layers of fibreglass to keep out the water etc.. and then hopefully find some big wheels to fill up the gaps

hehe, just cut out the rears on ours.. now i just have to get the damn fibreglass flares to bend back into the proper shape, they are a little warped.. http://www.project240k.com/gallery/categories.php?cat_id=48 no idea if what we did was right, but the flaires seem to cover them nicely.. just need to fibreglass up the gaps left now

Thanks Bruce, Pics are great! from the workshop manual it wasn't clear what the insulator actually was, know i know! we are using the RB31 turbo gearbox, so no worries about it fitting on the engine i will actually probably start hunting for an R31 mount (it will be easier to redrill the holes in the mount if need be) but i will ask around for the xmember mount too Kent

btw, i forgot to congratulate you Michael, you beat me now i gotta start looking again in japan! make sure you post some pics when you get it on!

well if you come up to pick it up, give us a yell, i would love to see a complete coupe we could even try and get some of the sydney/coast guys together for a meetup (not that i know how many ppl are around here, there are atleast a couple)

(way less than what i payed!) i had a bid submit for $2000 sitting there staring at me for 20 seconds before the auction ended.. i just couldn't push the button :knockedou , not that it would have been a fantastic idea (just think what i could spend $2k on project240k), but atleast it would stay in the community this way is much better though!
