  1. Asking $1000, but HIGHLY motivated and willing to negotiate.
  2. didn't think so
  3. Thanks for the replies, guys. I believe they mis-chose the mechanic they took the car to, and the mechanic was playing the swap out parts that may-may not be the answer game. They were believing him when he told them 'it's probably this part' and when that didn't work, 'it's probably this part..." etc. expenses rack up fast doing that. Right now they are out of expendible income, and this car is not on the priority list like buying food and paying rent. 3 months ago the car was fine (ignorance is bliss), and the car still runs fine, the emissions aren't quite right. The pressing thing is that the apartment management will tow his car tomorrow if it's not registered. They would rather not have to pay fees on towing as well. I have an N/A 82ZX parts car, will that ECM swap over?

  7. Sorry, Dave. Life has been holding me hostage the last couple of weeks, and just broke free this evening!!! Please see the top and bottom views of the steering column of my 8/71.
  8. Now his apartment complex is threatening to tow it on Friday the 13th because the registration has lapsed. http://sacramento.craigslist.org/car/715624547.html He's selling cheap.

You may be able to spread the male connector on the wire at the dist. cap end with a needle nose pliers to try to make the connection there a bit more snug. I have a similar intermittent problem, where the wire that is closest to the passenger fender (on the dist. cap) slips off the distributor post, causing a nasty stumble, but the motor still runs.

Mike, so far I have only been able to locate the shorter, smoother sets of straps. I will keep checking. [sidebar] AZ-240, Yes, my glovebox does have the key code decal, and yes, it is filled out! [/sidebar]

Very close, indeed! When I go out to the parking lot to drive home, I will check on the key code sticker (AFAIK, I am using the 3 original keys, one for the door, one for the ignition, and one for the fuel door), and when I get home I will look into the luggage straps.

I will! You must have been typing while I was editing! Ha! For the record, my 1/71 has the flapper buckles, with a 12/70 man. stamp. Apparently, my car made it in just under the wire!

Mike great pics. I will have a look-see at my inventory in the barn. I THINK the only style I have ever seen is the short-strap type. 26th, did 72s still use the flap type buckle? My 8/71 has the push button style. [edit] I see your point now. apparently Nissan used what they had when tehy needed it. [/edit]

Hey Bo, If you PayPal me the $300 (http://www.titanmotorsports.com/lmdiairame.html), I will gladly go buy one of those things. [edit] I would even be willing to lend it out to our NorCal members!!! [/edit] Right now, I am getting a calculated 21.7 MPG with the inherited (from my mom) right foot. IIRC, I am running 21* advance. Do you remember what we set it to, Jon?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For Sale—One (1) Wife, slightly used, 1964 Model -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date: 2008-04-14, 2:09AM PDT Needs muffler, as it is currently VERY LOUD. Intake valve is stuck in the open position. Rear end needs major overhaul. A crack there has grown monstrously large. Needs re-wiring—Many wires are currently crossed. Lots of little dings in the body, which have been covered up with too much paint in a failed effort at camouflaging them. Needs re-upholstering—Carpet has turned a dingy gray. Needs front-end work--front bumpers are too close to the ground, and theres far too much negative camber in the lower control arms. May not pass emissions test, as it currently produces foul clouds of malodorous gases on a regular basis, AC intermittent - one minute warm and comfortable, next minute COLD AS ICE. Heater works great. Hot air is never in short supply... Asking $500 or trade for 1984 model.

I had, "Cat's flattened while you wait" I want a Union sticker that reads, "Live Better/Work Union" so I can modify it to read, "Live Better/Work" My license plate frames read thusly: front - "Do it in a Datsun" rear - "Try it, you'll like it"

Hey! I have pondered the same dilemma going on 2 years now. I have a plethora of OEM stock parts. I have sold fenders from $45 to $85, and shipping has always been north of $80 (out of state). For steel wheels I would ask $20/pc if in good condition. Aren't spares full size steelies? I have been trying to off load my hoods and hatches, but shipping is always the crux. I have never tried to get a quote on those, but I know that 2 seats shipped from Los Angeles to Sacramento cost $115, with a shipping weight of 79 lbs. I would assume a hood and hatch would cost near the same. I have seen rear 1/4 panels go for around $150-$200. I don't know about the rear valance, but I recently let a front valance go for $45. Look up Zed Findings for an idea regarding the costs of the floor pans. I guess it all boiles down to this: how much is the part worth to you "right now" and how badly do you need new/better parts for your project?

Stephen, you slay me! That may have been my Dad! He was at a gas station when he noticed a lady fueling up her brand new small convertible and said, "Nice car! is that a new Miata?" The lady scoffed, and got in her brand new Z-3 and drove off. Bwahah ahahah ahha
