it could be that the head gasket you put on was thinner than the previous one. that would do it.

will these wheels fit? 17X9s 17X10.5s
the big kicker here is going to be the offset. the stock fender depth of the Zs is not something to write home about. you're definitely going to need flares; but how much is the Q

After replacing all front bushings . .
yes. the amount of "play", or basically how much they tightened the TC rod after installing the bushings, will determine the position and geometry of the wheel

MGB a little off topic here
the MGB was all 4 cyls (i beleive). i think it was the MGD(?) that had the 6... EDIT - the MGBs were all 4cyls with the exception of the MGB GT V8, which had the rover v8 in it. the MGC had the 6cyl

i agree that they are very nice and attractive, lovely sounding, awesome (insert more adjectives here) cars! i've had the honor of seeing one once.... mostle around here it's lambos, mclarens, ferraris, maseratis, and the occasional veyron. so it was nice to see one that is different!

Who wants to help me out? (parts query...)
Hello all! i'm in the process of getting my car back up and running, but am having a bit of trouble sourcing some parts for my build. i'm on a pretty tight budget, but what i'm looking for is the following. radiator (that will fit my 240Z) 5 speed trans (in good operational order, needs no bearings replaced, and including the speedo gear) and the last item isn't really necessary to get my car up and running, but it is necessary for my speedo to be correct - 280Z R200 moustache bar. if anyone has these parts and wants to be rid of them, i will gladly take them! i'm trying to stay within $300 for the lot, since i still need to acquire a few easier to find parts as well. thanks again guys, and please lemme know if you can help! Jason
