  1. on white, i prefer a black or gunmetal or even bronze rim with a polished lip. heck, i prefer that on ANY colour car! i have black meshies with a polished lip on my car. do you plan on keeping stock fenders, or are overfenders or flares in your car's future? i LOVE deep dish myself, whether it be rims or pizza

^i was looking through that thread, but that was on the driver's side... since i see the battery tray i think it's the passenger side

sounds like a bearing. my 5 speed (79) is doing the same thing. gonna try the synthetic, but if that doesn't do the trick, i'm going with a rebuild kit that includes all of the bearings and just replacing them all, like here: http://www.drivetrain.com/nissian4_5sprwd.html

welcome! looks to be a GREAT starting point
  6. where's it spewing from? head gasket? valve cover gasket?
  7. sweet! thanks for the info. i was either looking at a 124 or even an 850. but ya, i still haven't decided if i should just use my tax refund to fix up the Z. to get all of the parts i need ATM it will be ~$2000; that's not counting bodywork and paint. tough call.....
  8. my wife needs a new car, and it seems silly to own 4 cars. I'm planning on selling the Z, and she is planning on selling her car. We are planning on buying another car so that we have 2 good cars between us. Since I can't find a decent Z in our price range to use as a driver/parts car in the interim, i'm looking at Fiats, Alfas, and Miatas. Any suggestions? BTW, I'm not out of 240Zs PERMANENTLY, just until i have time for a rebuild...

i think the lack of lip on the pictured wheel is just a stock photo. if i had to guess, i would say that they offer them in a myriad of offsets, etc.

  16. ya, i was like "that looks salvageable.." then a couple pics later i'm like "wow, the elements were NOT kind to that car..." then i start to wonder how much longer until that poor car turns into dust
