^agreed.... i've been wondering about the placement of aux lights (or hi-beams if i switch to HID) and i think i new have a solution!

    ^what i was thinking exactly
  11. the pistons look too dirty for that IMHO. anyway, as far as E88 on L28... that's what i'm doing. pros of this? square port head & higher compression ratio. cons? smaller ports = less flow. what i'm doing is porting out the head and putting 280 valves in it. of course everything i said here is up to speculation and opinion.
  12. HAHA check out pic 6!! anyway, that car is HOT
  13. why not a quick-change?
  14. haha, i think he meant that he found the package on his doorstep when he got home from costco.... although that would be freakin awesome if costco had that!

looks good! are you planning on doing a clearcoat over it to help in preventing wear?
  17. no prob! gl with the research. what wheels are you looking at?
  18. here's a few related threads: http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23255&highlight=wheel+offset http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17584&highlight=wheel+offset and a third part site to let some light on offset: http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/tech/techpage.jsp?techid=101
  19. 4x100 will not fit. the offset that you can use is going to vary by specific wheel (because of wheel width). i believe there is a thread that talks about this in more detail if you want to search for it, since i don't know everything myself
  20. lookin good! i wish my z was up and running
  21. congrats! looks to be an awesome calendar
  22. the third one is really the only one that claims no rust. the first one says he doesn't "see" any rust, could be he's just not "looking". anyway, the third car is the one that i almost considered (except the wife would kill me), and the last one DOES look promising, although there aren't any pics of problem areas.

FWIW, i have a 6-1 MSA header that i have not yet installed. as far as performance goes, i have found that a potentual weak spot (read "area of backpressure") is at the final part of the collector. it almost bowls in. difficult to describe. if i had a pic i would show you. anyway, if you want the most flow i would recommend cutting off about an inch from the supplied collector and weld in a tapered section to connect to the exhaust. my $.02

AHA! it was "r" that was for 260zs and "g" that stood for 2+2.... got it now...
