Centerforce II new install slipping!
i'll give that a shot tomorrow when i get home from work. With a new slave cylinder, should the adjustment nut be all the way out? It was like that when I took it out of the box, but I had to bring it back in to get it to connect with the fork.

freeplay? no. I used the early, spring-loaded slave with the correct 240Z fork, so I'm pretty sure they match.

Centerforce II new install slipping!
Well, big thanks to Rex for coming over and helping me out and letting me borrow the tranny jack! Anyway, here's the story. Tranny blew out, so I replaced the tranny with another 5 speed, replaced the clutch master and slave, replaced the clutch fork (just in case), replaced the clutch collar with the correct 280Z one, installed a freshly resurfaced flywheel (sprayed with brake parts cleaner to remove any grease), installed new throwout bearing, and installed the brand new centerforce II clutch/pressure plate. Putting it back in was a bitch and a half, but I bled the clutch and got all the air bubbles out. Now to the meat of the post: After replacing all of this, I was expecting epic grip. Instead, all I got was epic slip. What's up? Is this what I'm supposed to feel during Centerforce's 450-500 mile break in period, or did I get a bad clutch? I really hope it's standard break in because I purchased this from MSA 2 years ago (well past the 90 day guarantee). Jason

i don't know whether they meant to put up the letter "Z", but according to wikipedia (although not always accurate), the flag used was the former http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Japanese_flags#military (bottom flag)

Sneak peak of the 2009 370Z
my bro just made a good point. the fact that they moved the "weight" of the car to the back is a step in the right direction.

Anyone know of this headlight conversion

Anyone know of this headlight conversion
Isn't there a Lexus that has similar headlights to that? Probably a custom housing. If not, COUNT ME IN!

California Tornado
I don't want to thread jack, but I will add my last 2 cents. Just because something has precedent doesn't necessarily mean that there aren't other factors contributing to recent events, etc. Referencing the information that was posted, 303 tornadoes in 55 years equals roughly 5.5 tornadoes per year. The fact that 2+ tornadoes were spotted in the same place on the same day seems a little more frequent than precedent. I meant no offense by my post, and I certainly don't feel that any disrespect for my opinion is warranted.

California Tornado
wow. and to think, people still believe that we have no effect on our environment

The "Z" Flag was also used as the unofficial naval ensign for Japan from 1905-1945

Accelerator linkage fix questions?
i think that's the one that I was thinking of. and yes, the other way involves a longer rod and bending it. that's really the pity with lever-based throttle systems; the geometry can bite sometimes.
-
Accelerator linkage fix questions?
aaah! watch out for those linkage bears. they'll bite your fingers off!! haha, anyway, Tom's on the right track. I've also heard of bending part of the linkage to get the geometry straight, but I have no idea how to describe it to you.

Check out this Z
that's the difficulty with modifying cars; if not done in moderation it will be very difficult to sell, simply because it's so personalized. i do like the front bumper, but i wouldn't put it on my Z since that's not the direction i'm going.

clutch question...
