    PICS PICS!! heheh... welcome!
  5. ^^good idea... or paybe a new (or rebuild) fuel pump...
  6. my recommendation would be to build an E88... wait on a valve job and a big cam until you do the 3.1L...
  7. you can replace them by removing the pin that holds the shifter to the tranny (inside the car). yank out the shifter. one bushing (the closed ended one) goes on the end of the shifter. the other 2 slip into the hole that the pin goes through.
  8. i hope bambi didn't come back for revenge.....
  9. don't have any extra, but check ebay. that's where i get the majority of my stuff
  10. i was having a similar problem.... i replaced the dizzy and found that the problem went away when i advanced my timing all the way, then backed off if it pinged... as far as the revs dropping, THAT sounds like fuel starvation. it's common in Zs, mostly when braking, however there are many other possible causes..
  11. nice! double blowers = ridiculous also, interesting miserlou......

    yes .
  13. i meant lowest gear ratio, i.e. highest numerical
  14. the electric fuel pump to my knowledge only came on 280s.... ATF does cause too lean of a condition, which is why i recommended 10W30 or 20W..... i have my timing set on the most advanced it can go without pinging. oh, and you won't have problems accelerating until the engine is under the most load, i.e. punching it in the lowest gear.

    i haven't used it, but when i put my E88 on my F54 after i p&p i may....
  16. ya, my first thought was timing, then carb oil..... 20W or even 10W30 is what i use

the reason that HID conversion kits are illegal in most places is because an HID set-up + halogen housing = GLARE. in order for an HID set-up to be viable (and safe) the easiest way to do it (i.e. without R&D) is to retrofit the HID set-up from another car. i have been trying to find a car that has a headlight set-up that may fit in the 7" sealed beam are of the Z. i haven't been able to find a good source, so i was wondering if anyone had any better ideas.... anyay, here is an example of stock headlights versus an HID retrofit job. notice the clear cut-off and lack of glare.... ps, for more reading, check out this link to another one of my forums (you'd be hard pressed to miss me!) http://www.shatbox.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=893
