  1. Looking to get rid of these if anyone is interested. I believe they are 14X6 and they have a set of BFG Touring TA tires on them size 205/60 with about 5k on the tires. Here's a pic of them on my car: http://www.classicZcars.com/photopost/showphoto.php?photo=3624&size=big&password=&sort=7&thecat=500 Make me an offer e-mail me here

I had the four barrrel conversion for a while and it was ok. However, I eventually went back to the original dual SU setup. The design of the 4bbl manifold makes it so #1 and #6 run too lean and #3 and #4 run too rich. There is a reason that Nissan went with twin carbs. The same reason makes it so triples are even better. If you look at the triple carb intake manifolds, they are pretty much uniform in length and offer a straight shot to the cylinders. Compare that to the 4bbl manifold and you will understand the design flaw. FWIW, the flow characteristics of the DGV manifold adapters (which I think attach to the stock manifolds) are almost worse than the 4bbl manifold, in my opinion. They basically attach down draft carbs to a side draft manifold. They send the flow down and then back up and then to the side. That just can't be efficient. The general opinion I have seen of the DGV's is that they suck. So, to answer your question, the 4bbl is probably better than the DGV's. If you go with the 4bbl, be sure to not go any larger than the Holley 390. Even the 390 is oversized for a 2.4 liter engine. However, if you can't swing triples, you should be able to pick up a set of used round-top SU's for way less than the cost of the 4bbl manifold and Holley 390 (especially if you're planning to bend over for MSA....) Hope that helps. Good luck.

Anybody ever heard of this company or know anyone who has bought one of their motors? They seem pretty good and have a decent warranty. Apparently you can get rebuilt L28's from them. http://www.rebuiltcarengines.com
  6. Yeah, I love them, too. There's nothing wrong with them. I just got a new set of Panasport 15x7. They look real nice, too. I suppose it's just a matter of opinion. Check out my gallery for pix of the car either way.
  7. Yes, I still have them

  9. Looking for anyone in the So Cal area who might want to take these off my hands. I don't really want to ship them because it would be an expensive hassle. I'm not really sure what brand these are but they are in nice shape. They are nicely polished and have BFG 205 60R14 Touring T/A tires on them. The tires have about 5000 mi on them and are in nice shape. These wheels always turn heads. They are the deeper dish type of slot mags and they come with center caps w/ Z logos that I got from MSA. Also included are the shank type lugs required for these wheels. I am selling these because I just got a new set of 15X7 Panasports. I'd like to get $400 for the set but will entertain reasonable offers. PM me for more pics. Here is a shot of them on my car.

I have been shopping for these, too. I have seen several replies saying that you can get these from MSA. That is true, but, FWIW, I tried to get a set of 15X7 from MSA last week and they told me that it would take a couple of months! I reccomend you contact Les at Classic Datsun. http://classicdatsun.com He'll do you right (right now....not two months from now.) That's what I did and I'm rolling on my new Pana's! Cary

Here's a shot of my 1972 240Z. Mods include a Crane Hi-6 ignition box and coil, a Clifford 6-2 header and 2.5" exhaust, '83ZX 5spd and 3.9 diff. Next to go in will be a freshly rebuilt L28....... Cary
