A Few More Questions on Aftermarket A/C Kits
I went with a Vintage Air GEN II Mini. You can see pictures of how I did the control panel and the evaporator on my web site. http://mysite.verizon.net/ress1lhb/barts570z/id16.html

Lowering information needed
I don't know the exact length of stock springs, but I think you probably want to go with an adjustable coilover setup so that you can decide your own ride height. If you go real low you will have to section your struts as well. If you search you will plenty of information on lowering your car. Here's a good start: http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21460

Side Skirts: Paint on or off the car???
Mark, they indeed are the Kaminari side skirts in my photos. They don't look much different, but the quality definitely is. There is no glue attaching them to my body and I believe I'm only using four screws on each side, one on each end in the wheel well and two in the door jamb.

Side Skirts: Paint on or off the car???
I purchased the Kaminari side skirts and they fit really well out of the box. They cost more, but taking into consideration all the work required on getting the standard skirts to fit they are well worth it. I found this was the case with the Kaminari front air dam as well If you permanently mount them they will be very difficult to replace and if you mould them on to your vehicle they will probably crack over time; although some people have been known to go for long periods of time without any noticeable cracking whatsoever (fiberglass and metal expand and contract different rates). I'm going to keep mine mounted with screws and paint them separately, but that may be more difficult to do without good fitment.

"Sub Frame support connector" from Z-Specialties
X bracing was discussed on HybridZ recently and John Coffey (a member here as well) stated that: "An X brace in addition to SFCs, as I've said before, will just add weight. The center part of a Z chassis doesn't twist in a way that an X brace will help, once SFCs are installed. What the S30 chassis need badly is upper level reinforcement at the firewall and the strut towers. Connecting the front strut towers, upper firewall, and rear strut towers together does wonders for this 35+ year old chassis." Here's a link to the entire thread: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=127952

ls1 240z
Yes that's a popular video, but it's not an LS1 engine. That car has an LT1 engine like mine...although Darius added a supercharger to it. PS - It looks much different now www.extremeriderz.com/videos/240z2.wmv

HybridZ may be taken down by the S. Cali fires
The last I heard Dan was back home and his home isn't damaged.

Kaminari Body Kits
I'm using the Kaminari front air dam and side skirts on my 73 240Z. I am very happy with the quality and fit. I was able to install them without any modifications to the front air dam and very minimal trimming on the side skirts.

How wide of a 17 inch rim can I get for my 240
Google it. Here's a link I found using Google http://www.fly-ford.com/MM0105-How_To_Roll_Fenders-0407.htmI did it the old fashioned way with a baseball bat.

How wide of a 17 inch rim can I get for my 240
17x7 is pretty narrow. The reason MSA sells a lot of rims that size because they are selling you wheels made for Honda's with adapters. If you want the same size all around you can easily go 8.5" width all around with coilovers (will probably require rolling). If not than 7.5" or 8" will work. You can go with a staggered setup, but it's probably not the best for all around performance (too much push). I installed 17x7's and quickly tired of them and wanted to fit as much tire as possilbe without installing flares. I really like my new setup with 18x8.5 on the front and 18x9.5 in the back. It's definitely not easy to fit, but for me and my 360+ rwhp it's worth it.

I have to find these!!!
Not sure if you found what you want yet, but there's some similar wheels on sale at HybridZ. http://classifieds.hybridz.org/showproduct.php?product=5400&cat=all They're not mine, just passing on the info in case you're interested.

Floorpan Plugs 101?
MSA sells them, at least if they're the same size as the stock holes. You just need to measure and give them a call, as they told me the sizes can vary. They're priced very reasonably as well.

So pumped...
The front air dam and side skirts are made by Kamanari and I got them from MSA. The rear skirt is the classic style from MSA as well. They fit great and the installation was very easy, but I had to modify the rear skirt for my dual exhaust.

I don't think too many people on this site will join in your enthusiasm over a JTR manual. I've put mine to good use; but I've learned it's much better to discuss items related to V8 swaps on hybridz.org.

Found a new Z-toy at Wal-Mart.
I picked up the "For Sale" 240Z yesterday at a Walmart here in California and added it to my collection.

Euro Style Bumpers!
I got most of mine from MSA. Depending on the quality your looking for, make sure and inspect them before accepting them. I finally had to get the rear center section from another source and it's a stocker with the holes welded shut and re-chromed.

Air-conditioned
I have a Vintage Air system on my 73 240Z with an LT1 V8 engine. I used the stock relocated LT1 compressor, and everything else is Vintage Air. You can find some pictures and information on the web site listed in my signature.

Tuner Lugs Help!!!
Very small diameter lug nuts. Some after market wheels provide a pretty small diameter recess for the wheel lugs and regular type lug nuts will not fit.You can get them from plenty of places like Discount Tire (that's where I got mine), Pep Boys, Autozone, MSA, etc. Just be sure to get the proper size M12x1.25.

Am I the only one whose named their Z?
My girls have name's for all of our vehicles, and they call my Z 'RoxZ'. As far as I'm considered all cars are females because they demand so much money and attention, but my girls have decided that some vehicles are male. We curently have a George, a Betsey, and a Lucy. My girls also argue about who's going to inherit RoxZ, even though it's far from completed.

17" rims
Yes, 17x7 will work. I used Modern Motorsports adapters and ran 17x7 with 225/45R17's all the way around my 73 240Z. Using these adapters you can simply purchase rims designed for a Honda, which gives you a tremendous amount of selection. The same adapters (or something extremely similar) is what you get when you purchase some of the wheel packages available from MSA. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=6&PHPSESSID=6a610278844f1f5bb2681732e827ba92 I belive you can get the same adapters from this source as well, but I'm having trouble getting to their web site now: http://www.technotoytuning.com/ Sport Max has wider rims available in 4 lug patterns and I am in the process of installing 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rears on my car now. Id offer to sell you my 17" wheels, but shipping would be difficult. You can see the old and new wheels at the web site in my signature.
