Ebay Door Strikers
They may not be failure prone, but they do wear. When they're worn you need to close the door pretty hard to get them to catch. I see there are several auctions and sellers for these "new" strikers. Of course they claim they are better than OEM, but I'd be curious if anyone has actually used them and can report on the fit and quality of these items.

Ebay Door Strikers
I found 1970-1978 Door Strikers on eBay and wondered if anyone knows anything about them or this seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-1978-Datsun-240Z-260Z-280Z-Door-Strikers-2-pcs_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem53df75dd6aQQitemZ360231329130QQptZOtherQ5fVehicleQ5fParts Like many others, I have problems closing my doors and I was thinking new strikers might help.

240 Z Cowl
I'm using the Raceonusa cf cowl, but it's just carbon fiber over fiberglass. It would probably be about the same weight than their fiberglass cowl panel, which is much cheaper.

Show & Shine Toy Drive
Well, I'm taking my Z to the 2009 show. If you don't mind talking to someone with a V8 in his Z, stop by and say hello.

What AIR DAM is this?
Got the pic's, thanks! Yes HRE's are extremely expensive. I'm not sure if that's what's on the first pic or not, but they look like they could be.

You can get the air dam from Kaminari directly: http://www.kaminari.com/nissan-240z-260z-air-dam-frp

I don't think MSA carries the same size Sportmax wheels I'm running. They're 18x8.5 up front and 18x9.5 on the rear. It was pretty hard to get them to fit, and I had to use 8" springs on the back in order to raise the lower perch high enough to not interfere with the wheels. The pic's look great, please do send me the originals. As for the wheels in the first shot, I don't know for sure - but they look like HRE wheels.

Be very careful about purchasing from Showcars body parts. I've heard nothing but bad things regarding them. Things like extremely long wait times or not getting the parts at all, and poor quality for those that do receive their shipments. I got my air dam from MSA, but I don't see it on their web site. I would give them a call and see if they can get it for you.

The flares are ZG flares http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/50-1562 and they are generally bolted on. In my opinion no matter how wide tires you squeeze onto your slotted mags, they're not going to fillout the flares.

I think that's a Kaminari like I'm running on my car:

Freshly Painted
You can't really tell from the first pic I posted, but the hood, cowl panel and hatch are all carbon fiber. I painted just the edges to keep the line between black and blue going around the car. Here's a couple of earlier shots where you can see them better.

Freshly Painted
I know it's not for everyone, but I'm very happy with the results. It's a shark theme, and that's the reason for the silver fade on the bottom. There's also reproduction shark emblems over the gills from the Mako shark concept car from many years ago.

Freshly Painted
Here's a pic of my Z that I recently painted in my garage. It still needs some final polishing and a couple little things here and there, but it's mostly done. I'm planning on taking her to the JCCS in October, so if you see me there be sure to stop and say hello. -Bart

Adjusting Doors
Wow, I saw the date on my last post and I can’t believe how long I’ve been working on my car! I painted my jambs and I’m re-hanging my doors now, and I still can’t find an answer to a relatively simple question. Approximately how wide should my door gaps be? I understand they may not be perfect and that it may vary – but in general, how wide are S30 door gaps?

A/C Condenser Size?
Install the largest condensor you can fit. From the Vintage Air web site "The correct size is determined by choosing the condenser that will cover the largest amount of the fin area in front of the radiator."

Just Covered Dash and New Gauge Face Plates
Nice work. You should post it up on HybridZ, they have a thread about covering dashes, http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=124146
