Fun in Photoshop - Part 2
This was my first project I had to do a while back for a photoshop class I took. I used the Z and one of my dogs for this two-photo assignment. The theme was "Dying Planet" for the first shot and "New Home" for the second.

Drive shaft length
Dave, On my early driveshaft I got 21 1/8" from the centers of the two u-joints. I now have the later shaft in there and think it was about an inch longer.?.? I have to get up under there a little today and will see if I can get you that measurement.

A dumb question... but...
I would start with adjusting the valves cold until you're comfortable with the procedure. After that, move onto doing it hot after a fun run. I too was a bit scared about it until I actually did it. It's amazing how often that's the case when working on cars. There is a website out there where a gentlemen thoroughly described all steps and included pictures. I'll see if I can find it...or maybe someone else had it saved?

Where to find Z info?
I've always liked how the information is laid out in this site: http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/engine.html

Where do you spend most of the time you spend here!
I spend most of my time either searching or getting updates on front page threads.

Warning dumb question inside.
I have a four speed, but if I had an automatic I would switch it to a manual for more control. Also, I personally feel that anything other than stop and go traffic a stick is more fun to drive.

To Tint or not to tint...
I agree with Ed. The tint will help keep what you have of value in better condition.

Fairladycafe!
I certainly don't want to fight with anyone. I love this site. One of the reasons I like this site so much, is the tone it contains. It is mellow and respectful a majority of the time. It is a huge distraction and turn off for me at some of the other z sites b/c there is so much bickering and ego in effect. This topic HAS been covered a great deal already as most things have. Going to that link makes it quite clear why I received the response I did. And...I learned why the lever is in the position it is...money. Thanks

Fairladycafe!
I don't think I was being hateful at all. Just responding to your public address towards me. I WAS being inquisitive....by asking a question. With the "why are you asking a question that has been asked before" mentality, what would be the point in having forums since most topics have been grossly covered anyhow? We can all just search away and hope for the best. As for being off topic. I've seen some of the best discussions on this site wonderfully develope from the most random initial topics. ---Jonathan

Fairladycafe!
Either answer the question or don't. I certainly don't need to be told about the search function, as I have devoted an ungodly amount of time utilizing it in the past two years. Not to be too rude, but I hate it when people swing the search function ax around to people who have more than a fair amount of posts and are not asking vague questions.

Those cars are amazing. Thanks for the link. I wonder why on the fairlady everything is RHD, but the e-brake is still on the driver's side?
