  1. Lol. Blocking the sun to show the holes weren’t punched through
  2. I bought a 1971 240Z from the original owner in LA who decided to restore back in the late 70's and just never completed. He has lots of new parts he got from the dealer including this dash he sent back to have it completely restored by Nissan. I ended finishing the car and sold it last year but have this dash left over. This is a rare piece to find. Has all the gauges put back into it and the dash is MINT and 10 out of a 10. This is NOT a dash cap. Asking $800 + shipping Email me with questions and your number if your serious. Response time is usually with in 30 minutes. Thank you
  3. 1.Yeh,I did look at that auction...I spoke with the owner on the phone and he told me there is no rust...All 240Z have rust.He said there was a minor accident in the front too.In the auction it says there is a brand new motor but it has a stuck valve....sounds a little funny to me.I'll pass. 2.There are guys on the hybrid board that are telling me to sell it but arnt rude like alot of the guys on this board...insulting me and calling me names..That's B.S. 3.I'm in a hurry to build this car because I am motivated to built this car.I have the motor, tranny, motor mounts already made and everything else to build it.I want a nice 240Z with a LS1/T56 combo.I see all these fools on the streets with there Honda and corvette's showing off and think they are so cool.I just want that car done so I can go find them and just smoooooke them. That's what I'm about. That's what keeps me going. I might be still using this car for my convertion if I dont get what I want.I'm not going to sell this car for $3500 or $4000 then go buy a piece of crap for the $1500 or $2500 then put $3500 into it with body work and paint. You got to do the math. It's just not worth it.
  4. Hey there, I had my Mustache bar custom made. There is only one like it.You can buy a billet one from www.arizonazcar.com but is only 1/2 inch, it should hold up for you.Mine is 3/4 inch....You must have alot of power to be breaking those bars. They are made a spring steel and pretty strong.I could understand if your running a V8...Are you? I could hook you up with the guy who built mine if interested. He does exelent work and does nothing half arse...ever.It's not cheap...but not to expensive. The one you see in the picture is still not finished. It's getting anidized then the edges are getting chanfered for sweet look.
  5. No,I dont think so.The block and heads are aluminum and weighs as much as a straight 6 probably.
  6. Ok guys....You guys ragged on me for wanting to convert my 240Z to a V8 so here it is on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2486548444&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT You all asked me to sell it....so here is your change.IT"S FOR SALE! I have looked at 3 different 240Z's this week and were all garbage. They were ranging in price from $2800 to $3800 with lots of rust. If it doesnt sell for what I feel is a decent price for the condition.......I"M USING IT AND DROPPING A LS1 IN IT ASAP!
  7. I ended the auction because I decided to put the interior back in the car and sell it complete. It's better if the car is all complete and origonal...I'm sure you understand.
  8. Thanks Gavin, that only makes sense, different strokes for different folks.I like the LS1 power and you guys like factory power.I like speed and you guys like to look good. The only thing we all have in common is that we all like the same Car.....isnt that the purpose of the site???

I think the same guy contact me. He sent me a check for $30,000. I have it right here in my hand. I knew it was fake from the first email he sent. I just wanted to see if the check was going to come. He has been calling me on the phone. You believe that. He is calling me from Nigeria. I gave the information to the secret service to deal with him. I have the guys cell. You want it?
  10. What confuses me is how upset you are because I posted on this site. There is no need for you to get so pissed off over nothing.I'm not starting drama or a war between sites either. The only reason you probably don't like V8Z's is because you don't own one.I have driven a straight 6 before and my honda accord was faster. When I dropped a LS1 in my other 71 I was smoken everything from vipers to Z06's, a few street bikes and a ton of other cars that I lost track of.Sorry guys,I'm not tryen to make anybody mad at all but since I'm on the subject... I'm not planning on restoring my car to stock like most guys on this site.I plan on customizing my car to a whole other level.I am far from keeping my car stock.I have alot of 1 off pieces for my car like billet mustache bar and billet control arm mounts and custom R230 diff mount with CV shafts and billet cv adapters.I don't want to hack this car up.I would like to avoid it if I can find another donor maybe. Here are some other picture of my current 240Z with LS1/T56 conversion. You guys are probably wondering why I don't just use this body that I have to finish my project.....well,it's a long story but to make it short and sweet....The cage I had welded up by someone didn't make it to well to fit me,I'm 6.4 and back of my head hit's the roll bar with out a helmet on.I also wanted to put 275's on the 240 and thought the only way was to get the rear flared out.So I paid $2500 to Norm Archer metal shaping to do the job.I really didn't want to flare it out but thought I had no choice,I get no traction 1,2,3 gears ...I wanted to keep the stock body lines and now they were gone and the car was in a minor accident but was fixed before I got it.It really bothers me knowing that,so there you have it.This is not going to be a floor sweep V8 convertion. This car is going to be one of the badest LS1 V8 convertions around.I am in a frendly competition with my cousin from www.darius240z.com and just want to spank his so bad.He has been talk smack for the longest time and when I'm finish him...I will claim the thrown for the fastest street 240Z in the SF Bay This is the new front mount I had made.Bolts right up with no binding up at all.
  11. You have got to be kidding...I'n not trying to start anything.I don't want drama between sites.I just wanted to share the story behind this 240z that found me....You guys can take it how you want it.I really didn't realize that the guys on this site take it so personal.I already have a 71 240Z with a 01 LS1/T56 swap and runs real fast but I plan on investing another 20K into 240z and wanted to start out with a good foundation. I don't want to hack into this car at all.I removed the interior already and put it on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2486216197&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT I'm not sure if I should end the auction and sell the car just like it is or use it.I'm not even sure what it's worth to a collector. Is it to late because I removed to interior????? This car is in better shape then I thought. There is no rust on the floor or the trunk or the usual spots on the quarters and fenders..Do you guys think I should find another donor?
  12. I placed a AD on craigs list last week for a wanted 240Z body that was in clean shape.I got a few calls here and there.Yesterday morning a woman called me to tell me about her 73 240Z she has.She said that she stored her 240Z since 1987 in her parents chicken coop and now she is selling there home and has to get rid of the car.She explained that she is the original owner, never had a accident and car was out of the weather for 14 1/3 years so it should be in good condition for me.So I decided to go on this 3 hour tour to her farm is Petaluma,CA. The coop that that car was in was in such bad shape that there was holes in the floor from rot.I cant believe the car didn't fall through it.This 73 240Z is not perfect but it the cleanest original 240Z's I have seen. There is no rust in the usual spots like the quarters and fenders. The engine compartment is extremely clean. The floor boards are as if the car was built a couple years ago,not even surface rust. The interior is a pretty nasty color but in clean condition. She told me she never beat on the car and was never a fast driver. She also said this car hasnt seen daylight in 14 years so I hate to do this to such a clean Z but I'm going to gut this car and drop my 01 LS1 T56 in it.When I was trying to move it,I tried to jack it up and my jack went through the floor!I was so nervous that this car was going to fall through when I started to move it the floor started crackling and making serious noise but got lucky.Take a look at the pictures.Tell me what you think
