  1. There are a bunch of YouTube videos! I had not thought about checking there. There was even a video about using aluminum HVAC tape to do the same thing. Another quickie idea is to use a silver paint pen or a silver Sharpie. I used that on some of the worn lettering on my truck dash project.
  2. Try Bare Metal adhesive backed foil from your local hobby shop.
  3. I'm pretty sure the bumper mounts are gas filled and once you break the seals, their effectiveness as shock absorbers is lost.
  4. I found these pictures on the internet and saved them as inspiration for doing the same on my 1977 Z
  5. I was all ready for battle when I read the title of the post, but got a real kick out of the letter. I'll have to send it to the rest of the camping committee of our Troop. If you've got Scouts in the family, try to encourage them to earn the Eagle rank by age 16. After the boys turn 16 we lose many to the "fumes" (gas fumes and perfumes). Its a hard task to earn the rank, so few do. The saddest thing is to talk to men I meet that were close to Eagle as a kid, but never finished. To a man, they regret it. That is a hard thing to explain that to a 17 year old Life Scout who is caught up with all thats going on in his senior year in high school and losing interest in the BSA program.
