Wedgey, I used to think that it would be a waste of time to spent the money for a larger TB. but After doing it..I'm a believer!! I used a 60mm from a 240sx... bought it for $25 from a yard. Changed the linkage, and WHAM!! LOVED IT!! MSA claims a 1/2 sec. off your Qtr... and a gain in high end horses, and now I believe it. Throttle response is unbeleivable, and accelleration is improved as well. On a motor like your, that has some light mods, it would be a great and cheap way to add a few hp, and improve your general performance.

I have seem that you can use a "pull to open" valve from a older ford Bronco. Fits the rubber lines and you can move the vavle outside in the engine compartment so you wont have to worry about the leaks inside. Much, much cheaper as well.. heres a link for getting one for $25.

Yes.. very simple and worth while mod! Easiest and cheapest example, would be a 60mm throttle body from a 240sx. (Make sure you check to see if it is 60mm all the way through.. there are two types, and one decreases in size at the back of the mounting plate.) These are basicly the same as MSA offers. You must get a spacer and change the Linkage hook up, and thats simple. You can usually get them for around $25-30 at a yard. They are pretty ready available at this time as well.( people who pay $100+ are wasting money in my book) I was very pesimistic about MSA quoting .5sec decrease in times.. but once I put a 240sx TB on, it was amazing! Throttle response is completely different, and excelleration is very much improved. Drives like a different car.
