Mitty This Coming Weekend
I will be there Thursday afternoon (camping, Turn 5). Steve, I wish I lived that close to Road Atlanta! Still, worth the drive from anywhere. Hope to meet you guys there.

Texas Z Party
Where would you recommend staying for this event? Only about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Louisiana so I'm gonna try to get a group of us to go. Thanks,

The Mitty is just around the corner
I venture there every year, this year I will be in the Z again. It truly is a sensory overload and definitely should not be missed. I can't wait! Pics from the past two years are online: http://www.flickr.com/photos/acsc/collections/72157615740062393/ I will also be going to LOG29 driving a 73 Europa that belongs to a friend of mine. This is also a wonderful event even if you merely just like Lotuses (Loti?). I can't wait for that one either!

Am I the only one whose named their Z?
Only one of my Zs has gotten a name, Bacon, because the paint literally looked like uncooked bacon when I got it. The other one has not told me her name yet. My 510 is the Banana Boat. I too think they are all female, as are ships, aircraft, etc, although I can't explain why.

Interest in Master Vac Decal Reproduction?
Got mine, beautiful job. I too would be interested to see how to "stamp" the serial number. Thanks Fred

how much did you pay for you're Z?
$330 on ebay in August 2005. Had it running well the day after coming home, then tore it completely apart for obvious reasons. About $6,000 since then.

Early Shift Boots
I would like 2, please. That makes 18. I have one but it looks like it went through a paper shredder and the grommet is long gone. Fred

Original AM Radio Blowing Fuse - Repair?
Does anyone know how to fix early AM radios? I have an early, side antenna switch radio in my 70. It has been working perfectly until recently when it blew the fuse that is on the blue power wire. After replacing the fuse to no avail (blows the moment you turn the radio on), I reluctantly took the dash apart to get it out and troubleshoot it. On the bench, it continues to do the same thing. I have opened it up but I do not see anthing obvious i.e. power wire touching the case, burnt areas, or anything like that. For it to work perfectly then suddenly develop this problem leads me to believe is is a transformer or diode or something. Any ideas? While I am in there I would love to replace the little bulb that lights up the dial as mine is burnt. Any ideas for replacement sources for these bulbs? I looked at the parts store but didn't see anything with the right size base. I have a road trip in a couple of weeks, and would love to have a radio, even if just AM.
