nah...my batt is charging a abotu 13.5 or so..at idel. since my tach blew out, i cant determine what its charging at while running....

got it. i just figured since i replaced my charging system i shoudl be good. but ill look into it

ok, i installed some driving lights and fog lights on my z. i turned them on and drove with them for abtou 5 miles, mayeb a bit more, and the lights shut off. the fuses did not blow they just stopped working. they woudl not come back on. the next day they worked again... im scared to drive at night cause now i have no lights that i can trust. these lights are wired seperately from all Z wireing. lights-relay-fuse-ground and battery-switch thats my horrible way of showing you aflow chart of how i wired it. any ideas?

no..i ONLY hear it while driving. it doesnt happen all the time. and seems to go away at high revs. but it happend in 5th gear the other day, so im confused. i have no isses shifting what so ever. the sound goes away when i use the clutch. sometimes it wont happen for a long time (a day or so)

hey, ive been told this MIGHT be the transmission mount bar or somehting loose in that area. this noise goes away when i step on the clutch, so its not the wheels or CV Boots. gotta be tranny related right? is this imprtant? or just another noise to fix

dammit now my headlamps blew out, they are brandnew. i tested my battery for shits and giggles ad its showing abotu 13.32 volts NOT running. i also noticed that the tops to the water compartment had come off... never seen THAT before... so my immediatre solution was to go out and buy some driving lights and some fog lamps. both round and the good ones. hopefully whe it gets dark and i aim them, it will be kosher untill i get the regular lamps fixed.. any ideas what the hell is wrong? oh my horn stopped working also. ***NOTE*** all fuses are good

yeah its the forward one. more towards teh radiator. its just a white fluid that appears to be hardened. kinda ashy

yeah so on the passenger side of my engine block there is this round plug thing. there is white crap coming out of it. looks like its dr and it IS dry. shodul i replace that thaing? shoudl i NOT worry abotu it? what the hell is it?

yeah so, um, my car doesnt have one of these fine items. i suppose i shodul pick one up, cause im tired of having to fill teh radiator every now and than. i was told a 2 qt one is fine. however, is there a specific one i shoudl get, ie: one that comes with a mounting bracket, etc?

how often should you change these?

not sure if thid is in teh rigth place, or even if i named it right, but what the hell is this thing for? mine has 3 outlets on it...but one was open with no hose on it so i put a stopper on it. how often do you have to change the filter at the bottom of it?

hey has anyone heard of this scam yet? i bumped into it a while back, and have been at war with stupid people about it on other car boards. here's an update. stay away from teh following 3 websites/companies carsponsorships.com sport compact pro pimp your ride ...excerpt... i also got a call from SCP and carsponsorships.com. they were very excited telling me i was sponsored for this an that. im a endorsed musician so i know a bit about being sponsored. again i said they were very helpful and excited in trying to find me stuff i coudl qualify for until.... i told them what kinda car i have. 1975 280Z 5 speed, slightly modified. they said, well, we have stereo and decal and lighting kits.. i said i dont need/want those. do you haev any body kits, engine parts, etc? they said they are not affiliated with any engine co's as street racing si illegal. i told them im a registered/licenced autocrosser and the guy (SCOTT his name was) didn't know what that meant. anyway, after 30 minutes on the phone, no one there could find me anything for the car. he said he was gonna send me some paperwork and some decals and id get em in 2 weeks. i said fine. THAN it hits me. after i hung up i realized i filled out something online to get this fool to call me anyway. and lo and behold i saw an 88 dollar charge on my card the next day. ive since had it reveresed with my bank, thank god! so well see what happenes next. PLEASE FOR TEH SAKE OF ALL THAT IS GOOD AND HOLY. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY. I DONT KNWO ABOTU CARS, BUT IN MUSIC REALITY YOU NEVER HAVE TO SEND ANYONE MONEY TO GET STUFF. that only happens if lets say you get a 75% off deal, than of course you pay the differance. speaking of the co's these guys use, i went to all there sites and the stuff looks like crap. oh i almost forgot, he offered me vertical doors. i said that cool, if i get them for free. he said no, about 1500. i can get the kits myself from a magazine cheaper than that! the best part is, is they say they have deals with dunlop, so i asked about tires...and guess what. they couldn't even find anything to fit my rims...weird. they are STOCK NISSAN RIMS! idiots. see kids, if this was a REAL endorsement company they would find you stuff that would work in your car!!!!! strike 3 with me. anyone else actually take pix of there "products installed" lets see them ------ just a warning to those who are out there...stay away, stay far away.

ok, just for the hell of it, i tried a burnout on a back road, with no one around. afterwards i expected to see two long tire tracks. i didint i saw one. i thought this car had a posi rear? i guess not. is it possibel to stick a posi bar on a 1975 280?

ok all: i think i need a new fuel gage. unless someone can tell me how to trouble shoot the one i have-keeps blowing fuses, but wiresappear to be good. no bare ones... i was gonna just stick in another on in a side pod. any suggestions on dificultyu and/or which i shoudl get for a fuel level gage(not mixture)
