thx...i went and tapped out a 8ball anyway... i found 4 clips, and installed teh boot. It doesnt quite fit..leaves a bit of space at teh top..but im gonna fix that eventually. I really need a digi-cam so i can start posting pix of my process'es..

Hey, i noticed that from my head gasket to my valve cover (if i named these parts correctly, appears to be way newer than teh rest of teh engine. I was wondering if its stock? it says "nissan OHC" and the oil cap is in Japanese. It looks liek it was plated at one point..and still kinda is... just wondering if its been altered in some way, and is there a way to be able to tell?

I was thinking about making this badge in a black plate with teh letters and numbers clear so i can run EL cable behind it. Has anyone done this. I know how i woudl do it, just wondering if anyone else has done anythign similar to their cars?

i sorta have the same issue. I replaced my bulb, but it doesnt turn on...the fuses are good. any suggestions?

mine do something of the same. my drivers side door, you have to keep the key turned while opening the door handle to get in. To get out you need to hold up the lock and pull the handle to get out. the passenger side sometimes resets to a locked position, and you cant open it even with the key sometimes. Even if its unlocked already. wierd....

Hey, i dont knwo if this goes in here, but here goes: I dont really have a problem, but more of a general question abou tthe clutch pedal. I'm used to having to push all the way on clutch's ive used in teh past. The one on my car only really need ot be pushed about 4-6 inches to grab. Is this normal?

also, got a 8-ball shift knob. I think i need ot tap out teh ball. Does anyone know the actual thread size on the shifter for a 1975 280z?

Hey, im in the process of replaceing my center consol stuff. And my original snap on boot cover is all torn. I got a new one that has some EL in it. looks great...but i cant seem to figure out how to connect it. Someone said something about "clips". Is that all i need?

more issues with this.. i noticed that a whole lot of wires were clipped under the dash or simply disconnected. I reconnected tham and put in new bulbs for the indicator lights. However still lots of clipped wires...ive refered to the chiltons, but no luck there.... any ideas if these may be causeing my turn signal issues??

ok i couldnt look at the tranny part...no lift yet. i did however discover that the knurled knob was undone at the back of the speedo. I reconnected that--still no luck. also noticed that the "trip odometer" cable was just floating in fid-air not doing anything...must figure out where that goes.

my flashers also do not work on the dash or outside...but they light up when the headlamps are on...but do not flash in turn signal mode or hazard flasher mode. i tried the "under the dash "583" fuse...that didn't solve anything... the fusable links are still in working order...any suggestions?

what is this supposed to mean? easy way to get parts?

i also need ot change my SW. It was at some point either rubber or leather, but its kinda beat up and / or mealted away...shoudl i just go buy a cool new one? or try and restore it? its still go the badge on it...

i bought mine for 1,000. (1975 280Z str8-6) been garaged for about 5 years or so...pretty good except for the left front fender is a different color...
