Friend's Porche Collection
I mean that they don't do much for ME. They are great cars, and I bet that driving one is awesome, but if I could choose between a Z and a Porche, I would always take the Z.

Friend's Porche Collection
I was just looking through some galleries and saw this. These are great cars, and are dear to many, but to me, a Z car fan, they honestly don't do much. The lines just aren't as clean as the 1970-1978 z cars. Nothing against porche fans though!!!

My New Project
From far away she looks good! This car was originally lime green, then painted tan, and it now wears black primer.

What do I put for this? "URL of page to parse images from" This is the one thing I dont understand. I think I figured it out. How long will it take to show up?

You know, I have asked this before, but I never really figured it out. How do I put pictures in my gallery? Most importantly, what do I put for the URL? I have finally found out how to place pictures on a post, but not in the galleries. I feel dumb! :classic:

So before I do any body work at all, I should find a good place to do the paint and see what they say? By the way, how much power should an L28 with triple webers and a fairly agressive cam make. This is what was on my car, but it does not run and I am just interested to see about how much power it could make.

Yeah they are expensive. Mine is really old and currently it is bound with duct tape!

Thanks for the replies guys. Yes it is the car in the avitar and its worst fault is the many layers of paint. I have read the wick humble book about 100 times and I own the service manual. I really want to do most of the body work, and though there is not a lot of rust, I find more all the time. I dont want to paint the car so I am willing to spend lots of money on this. I worry the most about electronics and the interior. Working with glue and vinyl seems hard to do a professional job. Would it be reasonible if I sand blasted the car (making sure to primer finished parts to avoid rust), did body work and then had the car painted? Dan

restoration
Well, spring is just around the corner here in Pittsburgh, most of the snow is gone. I haven't touched my car lately because of the weather but, now that the weather is better i can get working. I am going to be doing a total restoration and I want to know the best way about doing this. I have some books but I want to know what you guys think. One of the most important things to me is that the whole car be repainted including the interior. I will eventually lift the engine out. In what order should things be done? I need some direction!!! Not Zweather!
since the day I bought my car back in mid november, there have been absolutely no sunny warm days. It has either been raining or snowing. It is to damn cold to work in my garage. Your fingers get cold and numb, and then it's hard to work. Spring will be here soon enough, try to enjoy winter.

Saddest Day
Hey 5 speed, I too am 16. My parents dont care about driving because the car does not run ( it is a restoration project) Try to keep it, most kids our age don't understand these awesome cars. They just want stupid civics and celicas. As soon as I was old enough to understand I knew I would have to have one. Between my dad and me we have two 240zs, and I couldn't be happier.

Damn Timing Chain
About a month ago I took the head off my car and now I am putting another one back on. The night I took it off, I forgot to put the engine at TC, so I did it today. I am so stupid When I turned the crank (my friend held the chain so it would not fall in) the chain did not move because it fell below the teeth on the crank. Now the bright timing link is in the wrong place at TC. Is there an easy fix??? Please say yes!

Throttle Linkage
I am looking for the throttle linkage for my 240z. I have triple webers, but I heard and have seen that the same linkage can be used. I need everything from the fire wall to the carbs. Please let me know if anyone has anything. thanks
