Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
Those are the facts, which have been repeated for the good folks on classiczcars.com. Take them how you wish. Anything that can be said about those facts is superficial, has probrably been said before, and doesn't change anything. I'm tired of repeating myself so I'm done. If you want to continue your delusion that is great, but don't get offended if someone calls you delusional. But that is impossible, because people who are delusional don't think that they are delusional so they will always get offended if they are called delusional........ I'm out of this thread.

Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
Well then lets review. Z running below 84mph in 1/4=stock car Your Z running 89+mph in 1/4=non-stock car You have claimed numerous times in the past that your z was BONE STOCK, or stock=wrong You claiming a Z running 95mph in 1/4 is close to stock performance=wrong, thats up to 2 car lengths ahead of your car. Your continued wrongness in this matter=delusional Stating that you are delusional=truth Stating the truth=Whatever you want to take it as. You thinking you are being "bashed" behind your back is your problem, when i've stated all this in your face on zcar.com
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
if stating the truth is bashing, thats a new one to me. If a nissan resto car was exactly how it came off the line in the 70's I wouldn't have to call it not stock because you wouldn't break into the 15's in the first place.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
Well it increased your mph by 5 or more in the 1/4. I'd say that is pretty good.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
I "bashed" you about this same thing to your face on zcar.com. Yet you still claimed it as bone stock comparing it against bubbles times. So to come to this site and call you a delusional fool when it is the truth is not bashing you behind your back.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
BTW, did you have any weight reduction? Anyways, you are delusional if you continue to claim it as stock. From the factory, in 1976, a stock 2+2 280z would not run faster than 84mph in the 1/4. So to say that your z was stock is obviously wrong. To continue stating something that is wrong=delusional.

Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
You are right. I can't fathom a stock Z running a 15.4. However I can fathom a non-stock Z running a 15.4, which is what you have.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
Sure go for it. That claim is applicable. A fellow z'er has told me a 2.5" exhaust dropped about 1 second off his 1/4 time.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
When bubbleguinea posted his times you posted your Z as being BONE STOCK. When obviously it isn't. So your non-stock z ran a 15.4. Thats perfectly believable. People fixate and call your times special when you claim it as a stock z. You can avoid this by simply calling it what it is, a non-stock z. What was your mph in the 1/4? If it is over 84mph you cannot claim it as stock.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
of course it was. Its not like they could order and recieve and install new sensors that day. They wouldn't stop the races. Oh and I'm not bashing you. A 15.4 is believeable with those mods.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
Oh and track sensors can go bad and be wrong. It happened recently at my 1/4mile track. People were getting about .5 faster than they had ever gotten on the same setup. A bone stock 350z ran a 13.4, 1.6 60ft, with an amature driver, which is impossible. With those mods, a 15.4 isn't unbelieveable because it would open up your top end considerably. But a 15.4 with a stock z that would be lucky to break 84mph in the 1/4 is unbelieveable and impossible. So never claim to have run a 15.4 in a bone stock Z again please.

nice car but way over priced
those wheels look like mine! Yeah definetly overpriced.
-
Low Compression 1/4 Mile Times FYI
Yeah I figured after this thread was posted on zcar.com that you'd respond. Point is it wasn't stock. So please refrain from mentioning it as such. What was your MPH in the 1/4?

Honk if you drive a Z, or Where's the love?
well these days there are fewer and fewer z's on the road, and those that have turned into beater cars are mostly driven by non-enthusiasts. I see a few z's every now and then but you never know how someone will respond to a gesture because you don't know if they are a Z enthusiast or not. So it becomes awkward. But if I get a wave I will definetly wave back.

Z Ladies are hotties!
"Last time I looked at zchicksz.com, it seemed that they were more into Z32, Z33 than S30. Wrong kind of girlz for me." Me too Need some 1st gen realzchicks.com

if you designed the new z...
or even a straight 8!

if you designed the new z...
^^^OMG! That completely changes everything about it in a good way! Looks seriously badass! Looks so much more like the 240z. The guy that designed the 350z is fking clueless......someone needs to send that pic to Nissan, so maybe next time they will get it right.
-
if you designed the new z...
I have grown to love the 350z's styling and looks (especially in black ) But that huge @ss has got to go! The 350z just doesn't have the "badass" look. Sure its sleek and sexy but it is not intimidating. ^^^Pic above looks totally badassery. Definition of Z=Badass.

Piston selection on turbo app.
Higher compression turbo motor pros and cons: Pros:Quicker turbo spool, better throttle and turbo response, more low end "grunt" Cons: Limited to lower boost levels, greater tendancy for pinging/detenation/pre-ignition which could grenade your whole engine, engine will run slightly hotter, less spark advance which can kill your top end, too much timing retard and you lose lots of power and can burn exhaust valves. Aftermarket efi is almost a necessity in order to have complete control over timing, boost, fuel, etc. If done right with megasquirt, the high compression turbo motor is really FUN. But it costs more money to do right and you can destroy the engine easily if done wrong. Forged pistons are a MUST. You may also consider swain coatings
