I was just attempting humor. In reality, my philosophy is that I stop and help any women with no ulterior motive and hope that if my wife or daughters are in the same position, someone like me will stop and help. And to be honest, with my looks, I'm non-treatening and have no chance of "getting luckiy." My wife never worries about where I am. If I was chasing women, I couldn't catch any. If I'm out driving to fast, the insurance is worth mor than I am.

I always use their jack and lug wrench anyway. You always have the oportunity for them bending over to move their stuff out of the way. (Please see forum section "Boobs" and do a full web search for "Up-skirt") "Must move this wet bikini"
  4. It can be rough and missing a little p**** can be the worst part. (Sorry, couldn't let that get by. I can't believe (and just wish) someone else hadn't already said it)

Being a former Boy Scout, it's hard to really do it but I'm thinking of just leaving out the spare and jack on my Z. I plan to use it for weekend trips and maybe some autocross. The spare would barely get by in a pinch and it's extra weight taking up extra space. Do most of you keep the spare or just leave it out?

I do agree that the false idea of safety is promoted and that this new generation of drivers don't listen and think that they are invincible. But . . . I can remember, in the 70's kids being the same way. "But Dad, with power steering and power brakes I can safer than you were with those old mechanical brakes and manual steering!" And I had to find out how fast my 1975 Monte Carlo with a 400 cid and 4 barrel would go. Actually, I don't know the real speed since the speedometer only read 100 but I think about 140. Point is, yes, it's up to us to teach as much as we can but youth is always going to push limits. And the kid with the Civic, he should be fined and not get his license back for a long time. I know I don't want my family to be on the road with him out there. After all, he couldn't be as good a driver as I was. :stupid:
  9. Thanks every body, I've got a few good leads from you. I will post if I get them and if it works. I haven't talked to anyone who actually has done this. Thanks again, John
  10. Will, Front belts are what I need. The reason for needing from a 2+2 is that there are no pockets for retactable belts as later model Zs. According to forum post and referred pages, belts for a 2+2 are supposed to work. Ed, I'll try Zczarsource
  11. The seat belts in my '71 240z are shot. Push botton latches permenantly fussed and belt material is faded and cut short. What would be ideal (according to what I've read) would be a retractable set from a 260 or 280 2+2. (no pockets for standard retractable) Problem is, I can't seem to find anything anywhere. Zedd Findings has had no luck and I haven't even gotten responces from others I've emailed. MSA has only racing belts and British Victoria only has a plain lap belt that wouldn't work with my sholder belt (even if it were reworked). Anyone know a source or someone who can repair?
  12. How can anybody complain about someone not doing a search when a thread can go on such tangent as this one? Seriously, as a new user I have used the search before posting and many times found what I needed. Other times I couldn't find it because I didn't know the right terminology and missed the obvious. I've been blasted but some have been helpful enough to throw me a bone and tell me what to search for. Remember south Georgia farm boy and English translated from 30 year old Japanese are not always the same words. Heck, I ain’t even figured out where this AUST and UK are yet! I've been blasted but some have been helpfull enough to throw me a bone and tell me what to search for. South Georgia farm boy and english translated from 30 year old Japaneese are not always the same words.

I'm going to replace a set like I think you are describing with the original vinyl type. They are in good shape but the foam incert is puffing out a yellow haze. I figured I'd replace the covers just because I had to pull them to repair the foam. If you're interested PM me. They are not new but may match what you have and save swapping the whole set.

Just had the material. Thought I'd put my wife to work. Excuse me, get my wife involved. Logically, you're right and I'm cheap. I put my "2¢" in on an order for an A/C unit for the car last Monday. Yes, I'm imbalanced.

I'm trying to make e-brake and shift boots. I have an old shift boot to copy but not the brake boot. Anybody got a pattern? Thanks, John
