  11. my harnesss is for sale. vin 11546 built 10/70. it worked well and served a power antenne, power windows, high power stereo, two extra guages, electric fuel pump, two alarm type computer "brains", updated headlamps,an msd and was push by a 94 amp alternator. cd

  13. buy a running car on the cheap. do your swap and later sell the car. you'll be removing the engine in your space not the yard, you will pick up parts from the donor car and reduce the chance of a bad motor. when you are done you will have some thing to sell and in every move it will lbe easier to drive a car than to man handle an engine. that alone is worth the initial higher cost. end the end it will be easier, less risky and less expensive. i found a running 240 in the paper for $250.00 and later bought a benz sedan for $250.00. then benz had $300.00 worth of tires on it and i would trust it cross counrty if need be. youd be amazed what you might find in the paper... good luck cdavid

tire size calculator is always helpful http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp cd
  15. holy moses! i can't remember the last time i liked a set of wheels and that includes going to the international car show tampa just yesterday. i am exceedingly finicky about what i like and i must say you've got me smileing at what these wheels will look like. good on ya..... also good luck with the sizes. i have 8 inch front and rear with custom flares and when i uped the tire size from 265/50/15 to 275/50/15 (which is .20 inches wider and slightly taller) it blew out the "look". i hope you have a way to know or a very patient tire guy to let you play cause i found it to be very tricky without seeing the tire on the wheel on the car. do you have coil overs? cdavid
  16. e, if you register, you will get access to the link but full access as a registered user comes later. these are the cars i need to see and i would like to thank you in advance for saving me many hours of gallery viewing as the search function is not nearly as efficient as your memory. cdavid
  17. that is just the type of response i was looking for. i would love to see an early car in a blend of the eclipse and maclrean colors. if i were a tech guru, i might take a picture of my car and magically put it's possible new paint on it for a look see. cdave thank you for the pics...
  18. if so, please let me know. i'm down to two choices and one of these might be one. if i could see a zcar in a simular color, it would me much easier to decide. cdave the link will show you the colors. http://homepage.mac.com/cdavidwilder/PhotoAlbum17.html sorry i was not very specific. i'm looking for a 240z in an updated version of the original burnt orange.
  19. i'm not saying i could do it twice or even prove that i did it once, but believe it or not. i tightend my chain with the front cover on. serisously cd
  20. vin 11546 was fpr built in oct of 1970. when i removed them for body work one threaded stud out of three on each side broke and later another eventually fell out. i have replaced them with metal for the ease of getting them to fit properly. my original fpr set is available. cd

  22. sir burton's rath was ended at about 1604 eastern with 41 posts in less than 12 hours. i'm sure he was pleased with his latest mosh pit creation and most of those who attacked him were in fact feeding him. he relished all of the banter and simply sees your hurt feelings as a sign of weekness. in the future love it or leave it. i happen to love it but i feel for those who get hurt by his lack of consideration. it is not easy to see him as i do, partially because he could not care less what anyone thinks and has no value for promoting himself as good or safegaurding himself from anyone in this very small part of his life. i have not engaged him for over a year but i can say if you spent enough time with him you might see some good. as bad as he acts out, i would help him if in need and i dare say he would help most others. remember, his words only have value if you place value on them.
  23. this car deserves the best of homes. burt has provided a very worthy space amougnst his collection but if he is truley willing to give her up then i hope he gets 30k. if he gets his best bid from all the auctions and backs out then he should be banned from torturing us with his "need to validate the value" and from "basking in the bidding war of wannabe owners". if you see this burt, i will take you off my blocked email list so you may engage in a frothy debate. if burt keeps it then let it go on tour. as for you mr. wenzel, hooters called and the girls have nominated you for best dance atop a table. i could never follow one of your preformances and you know my most recent hooter meal would gladly be my last. hows about we go to ruth chris?
  24. this car is not unknown and after it's third (mabye more) ebay auction; he just might let it go. all of what i read on the car in this auction is true. it was bought and cared for as stated and is certainly worth every penny the high bidder chooses to spend. i've spent enough time with this car and owner to remind me why we all invest in these cars. be it a skeletal parts car for $200.00 bucks or the unchallenged "lowest mileage 240z" for "$22,000.00 dollars." dogburt is a very unique person and his love for the zcar is just a fullfilling as mine. i can't begin to "dog" anyone for the choices made modifying thier car even though i find it easy to be cynical about most cars including his, mine and the original design of " the most successfull line of sports cars ever produced ". bottom line for me is, if you've got the stank to buy more show cars than oj has aquittals then you can cut a hole in the roof and call it air conditioning.
