Beautiful Z found near by my home.
What? In post #1 the price was stated as $10,000 US Dollars (About $6500 Euros) But in post #3 it indicates $15.000 Euros (About $23,000 US Dollars) Sorry for the confusion...but this is a big difference.

So does he want $10,000 US, or $15,000 Euros? Big difference.

Love the color! Were these cars ever made in Black? Sure looks nice in the photo's. Price seems great too, I'd go for it.

If I could suggest anything to the ZCCA it would be:
Keep your shirt on Art!ROFLROFLROFLROFL I think the premise is to plan a fun marketable function of the convention. Frankly I'm spoken for, but not blind. I must have missed something...I don't ever recall an issue that would demand such strong opposition from the opposite gender. On another issue: I see the issues associated with the weekend car show. You need to have it at the begining of the convention while the cars are clean. Traditionally the day before is shine day for those that drove. If you have it on a Sunday to accomodate the other points, it makes it tough for those not sticking around for the rest of the convention. BUT...MSA gets the turn out! I think the simple truth is that anyone wanting to participate in a "National Show" will make the time. This is a once a year opportunity, and the date is set a year in advance. If it's important there's plenty of time to save up, and schedule the time off.

Media exposure is always an issue of those with the strength get it. Cooperatively work with a local charity, or business to accomplish common goals. For example, Perhaps the Cleveland area Nissan dealers work collectively with a tent sale/display using the car show to create additional draw. This would work well especially if Nissan had a car to unveil like the 350 Nismo in Florida. Let them bear the cost of marketing, and coordination with local media. The convention has value to community businesses, and offers a rare opportunity. The ZCCA should benefit finacially from this arrangement, but must have genuine concern for the success to the sponsor. A letter documenting this success from the sponsor could then be used to stimulate involvement in future conventions. The local Chamber of Commerce should also be valuable in secureing volunteers for registration etc., but you have to ask.

I believe that the ZCCA event is the premier "National" event. Granted there is, and always will be refining that can be done to make it better. But in the spitit of the event, It encompasses all of the aspects of a national event. As a ational event the sucess is the responsibility of all of us. Clubs, and individuals (not just the host club) should pitch in. If you know a potential sponsor, or someone that can make the convention better speak up. The Motorsports event (a great marketing idea by a premier supplier) makes for a nice afternoon get together. It does however not extend the experence of the ZCCA convention. I suspect the large numbers that are drawn to this event would be dramatically reduced if it were to go to a week long format. That said, if they were to offer a "Judged" car show as well as the popularity contest (peoples choice) they now offer, I suspect attenance would grow. Their are those that go to great personal expense (months of preparation, and $) with the hopes of bringing home a trophy as a token of recognition, only to be sent home with nothing (but a nasty attitude) being beat out by substancially inferior cars whose owners, or clubs placed them in the winners circle. Sometimes this appears only to the loser, but other times it's obvious to all. There will always be sour grapes, the secret is to eliminate the obvious. Without question the convention should be made more accessable to the public. I think it would increase the fun level immensely! Perhaps something as simple as choosing a local radio station as the "Official Station" to promote, and cover portions of the event. We have talked about a bikini contest. would'nt it be neat opening night to have a radio station supported bikini contest and the winner to be the reining queen of the convention. Maybe make some appearences at the events? Any opportunity to increase exposure and share our hobby with the masses should be taken. We will all have a lot more fun, the cars will be worth more, and maybe more local events to attend, and enjoy.

Do you trust sticky tape?
I'd put them on with the screws. I have them on my gnose, and they have to be constantly taken off for cleaning. Not so much the cover as the painted surface inside. With the design on mine i have gaskets, even then, theres always dirt inside. Plus you may want to wax in there regulary. If you ever decide to take them off (doubtfull) you may have a couple small holes to fill. But is it really that big of a deal?

Looking for Lexan windshield...
Jack Atkison the designer of the Primadonna did about 30 years ago. It's actually quite subtle, most people don't even notice it.

Looking for Lexan windshield...
The Primadonna uses a Plexiglass (race glass) front windshield. This picture should illustrate that the stock top, and side mounting location is used, but a new lower mounting area was created. Changing the lower mounting area to a point about 10.5 inches in front of stock lower center mounting location. The new mounting location dramatically softens the rake of the windshield. When I did the restoration i bought a new sheet of race glass, and used the old plexi as the template for the new. Two of use did the install foarming the sheet as we went, and it turned out great. I am not saying it was easy, it was a bit of a fight at times. Now because of the configuration, the Primadonna only used about 2/3rd's of a stock gasket. The front leading edge used a different gasket. That being said, I do not know what the degree of difficulty would be had when mounting in the stock location, with a complete gasket. I think that I would want to get the plexi in the sun for awhile before I attempted it though.

Primadonna Z Story - 56K Part 2
Hi Will, Not that I have had time lately, but I have always liked that idea. I think that history, and photo's (particurlarly photo's spanning years) make it interesting for guest. I guess my hesitation has always been where to put the display. I hate to put it where it impedes traffic, is tripped over or worse knocked into the car. At the same time the method of display needs to be easy to handle, and transport. I have thought about a handout with some history, and pictures that people could have to take home. My problems with handouts are how you format, and condense the story, and still make it interesting. I think that it's a great idea, I'm just trying to get comfortable with how to accomplish it. I'm open for ideas.

Primadonna Z Story - 56K Part 2
We'll I got back from the ZCCA Nationals in Daytona Beach last week, and I'm just starting to recover from the entire experience. It was a great time, and I met so many new people. I have now been to the MSA National, and the ZCCA Nationals. In comparison the MSA show is a great afternoon, but the ZCCA Nationals is a week of excitment. When I found out tha the ZCCA Nationals we going to be in Florida. I promised myself that I would finish the restoration on the Primadonna Z and go. Only a few people over the last 25+ years have ever seen the car, that I really wanted to share the car with the Z community. Much has been speculated, and said over the years about the car that it seemed it was the perfect time to bring it out of hiding and let people, see and try to understand first hand. I entered the Primadonna in the ZCCA judged car show in the Ultra Modified 240 class, and moved into the garage in an attempt to finish it before the convention. Well we finished at 7pm the night before the convention started, and loaded it into the trailer. Frankly I didn't know what to expect at the show, and was a bit concerned about the response to the car. Well things went great! Not everybody loved it, but not everybody hated it either. In the end the Primadonna won 1st Place at the show, Will captured the photograph I wanted, and I met some new friends. It was a good week!
