  4. They are original to the car. I do not want to restore them….only original once. Keith
  5. Since Kimberly Clark (KC) discontinued the Evolution 4 fabric for car covers, the only KC fabric appears to be BLOCK-IT NOAH Barrier Fabric (not as sun/wind resistant). Has anyone purchased an outdoor car cover within the past 18 months which they are satisfied with the material? Thanks, Keith
  6. zKars, What is the application process to prohibit the installed tape from unwinding from the covered wires? Keith
  7. Which electrical tape do you prefer for wiring harness repair/maintenance? Please add the reason(s) for your preference. Also, please let me know if there is an alternative choice which should be added to the poll.
  8. Sorry, no spare box lids. Keith
  9. zKars, If you can provide additional information about the missing strip, I may have the part in my spares: https://www.flickr.com/photos/53116286@N07/51718901792/in/album-72157720208645992/ Keith
  10. HS30-H, I understand your observation. I am a bit confused however, since the USDM Series 1 were shipped to the United States (US) without carpet and padding. The carpet and padding were cut and installed in the US, therefore why would US fabricator make accommodations for Japanese market forward seat mounts? (Unfortunately, I do not have access to "Japanese market forward seat mounts" to compare the measurements of the bracket locations and the cutouts.) The mystery is not yet solved! Thanks for your input! Keith
  11. HS30-H, The photo in Post #120 is the USDM left side, noted by the heel pad on the floor mat. Thank you for your explanation of the circled cut-outs. Keith
  12. Kats, Are you aware of any JDM floorboard stamping that would necessitate the jute cutouts indicated by the red circles in the photo below? Thanks, Keith
  13. Jute in Serial No 4684: This is the earliest VIN jute photo I have found. Baring any other information, I will create my template based on the above. Keith
  14. Great acquisition of parts. What is the part number(s) of the strut inserts? Thanks, Keith
  15. dutchzcarguy, Please provide a photo of the sheet metal screw (your photo is a machine screw) used for this application. None of the sheet metal screws in this thread or the thread below have the JIS marking you indicate. Naturally, I do not want to install a JIS screw where one was not originally installed during original production. Photographic proof of JIS is appreciated. Thanks, Keith
  16. Final production: The washer material used contains elastomer this minimizes cracking. Although the washer is not generally exposed to sunlight, I have not conducted long term tests on the color fastness or rigidity.) The flash on the inner hole is covered by the fastener head. The next challenge is to locate a manufacturer of the correct size oval, phillips head screw. Keith
  17. Does any have a source for the clear washer used to attach the lower door panel on the Series 1 cars? Thanks, Keith
  18. 26th-Z, Please post a photo of the complete wrench. Thanks, Keith
  19. Kats, Does Mr. Uekubo have a website which shows the restoration process? Regards, Keith
  20. A similar (if not the same) tool kit was included with the International Harvester Scout offered with the Nissan SD33 and SD33T engine offering. IH used SAE in the assembly of the chassis/body, so owners/mechanics were accustomed to owing SAE tools. The Nissan SD33 and SD33T engine, using metric fasteners, presented a unique challenge to owners/mechanics, who may not have ready access to proper fitting tools. Keith
  21. Same with the my manual: Keith
