Okaythat may be true, but that car weighs 3900lbs. Thats one heavy-arse car, so its gonna need every bit of that 500hp to get moving. I was referring to the Mustang GT that only puts out 300hp and still weighs 3483lbs, which is about the same weight as the last Trans-Am, but less power. Its been a decade since that LS1 Trans-Am came out and Ford STILL hasn't caught up. Besides, that GT500 costs $45000. Who in their right mind would spend that kinda cash on a Mustang?!?!

I think they should have used one of the last WS-6 Trans-Am's or Firehawks. Those were/are absolute beasts. Mustangs STILL don't have the power that those did. 345Hp baby!

I got a trip to Pittsburgh to see a Penguins game, RAM for my Powerbook G4 and MacBook Pro. Some smaller things too. Nothing for the car though, I think I'll shoot for an MSA airdam for my birthday in March though.

I can't really remember seeing any Hondas in PA. Where my parents grew up near Pittsburgh nobody drove imports. Bad for the American steel industry i guess. Complete opposite here in KS. Seems like almost everybody drives Hondas and Toyotas.

Is your fuel filter there? It sounds insane, but when I got my car the idiot PO bypassed the fuel filter and it ran terribly rich. Got 97 miles on my first tank of gas. Also could be a problem with the fuel pressure regulator? I'm not sure.

Shoot, mine STILL gets some Zep every now and again. I've got Van Halen I and II on tape always on hand in the car as well. I like rolling down the windows with some VH or Eagles on the radio while wearing my big aviator glasses.

Since i've owned mine (summer 04) I can think of 5 I have seen since then.

Thats like a law of nature. I got mad as hell when I came out of Target one night to find the jackass in the mustang next to me had spit 3x on my car. I was steaming out of the ears. Another night someone tried to smash the window in my Buick, but it bounced off and broke the mirror insted. I hate people who have no respect for someone else's property.

Dude that is SO awesome! I love that paint job. The little red stripe seperating the pewter from the black really looks slick.

Depneds on how nice they are I guess. I got my 6 spoke ZX wheels from a salvage yard for $180 with all centercaps and very few scratches. Pics in my gallery. I guess it depends on how rare they are where you live and how much you want em.

Holy cow! Its like looking at my car minus the dents and rust. Same color, same hubcaps (before i put on the ZX wheels) even has the grey down low like mine. Its a month newer and $5150 more than I paid for mine.

My parents grew up in the Pittsburgh area (Monessen PA) and the always told me there wern't many foreign cars around there. It was a big steel area and buying foreign cars was buying foreign steel. All the time I spent up there I cant recall seeing much aside from American built cars. Makes something like an old Z rare I'm sure. It would be interesting to see how they feel about them now.

I kinda like those wheels (American Racing?) on the Z. Denver's a little far or Id like to go see it.

I'm really not sure how much help you'll get here since just about everyone here is more focused on the 69-78 Z cars and not much later. I personally think its possible to put in a TT motor, but that could involve a lot of rewiring. Repairing the damaged motor (if its really just heads and vavles) would be the easiset thing to do I think.
