It was a 928. It was in the UK, so it was 1500 GBP not US dollars.

Woah! Deja Vu! I just used some to plug a pinhole in the fuel tank of my Buick! I tried all kinds of fuel tank repair kits and all failed within a day or so. Finally we got the JB Weld to do the job. Using soap to fill the hole was a good idea. Wish I had tried that a lot earlier. It may have helped with some of my other patches.

Wow. I am really impressed. Your car looks amazing. I would LOVE it if my car looked half that good. I kept mine in the garage this winter a lot too, but thats mostly due to the fact the heater got blown out. And the winter before that the head gasket was blown.

This is a 92 but the specs are the same I think for the most part.

I remember they did that on the episode of Top Gear when they all had to drive a Porsche that cost less than 1500 across the country. I guess one of them had a radiator leak.

Thats why I think people who drive stupid like that should only be allowed to own Geo Metros and Kia's.

That 240 doesn't look too bad, but the pictures are pretty crappy. If its not all that rusty, I'd say go for the 240. Its worth more, is lighter and as much as I love my 280, sometimes you just gotta go with the original.

Seems high for me. I guess it depends how how good of condition the interior is in, assuming there isn't much rust and how reliable it is (assuming you want to drive it regularly) I probably wouldn't pay more than $4 for that one, but I really don't like the appearence mods he's done to it.

Thats make makes Z cars so safe to drive. If you've got a manual tranny, it makes it hard to talk on the phone, read, pick your nose etc. Having no cup holders makes it hard to eat and drink while driving.

Okay here we go. I got some better recordings of my exhaust today than what you will find in my little video. I have one that was recorded beside the car about where the drivers side door is. Another recorded about 8 feet behind the car, and the last is a recording from inside the car. Halfway through the indoor one I put the window down. I couldn't figure out a way to attach MP3 files, assuming we even can. If there is a way to do that, if someone would let me know i could post these.

No resonator, no pre-muffler. Just straight back to the muffler. I get a little drone at 2k, but it mellows out very nicely below that and above. When it warms up, it gets a bit deeper and quieter. Its very nice for cruzing, but when you tap the gas it fires back up and gives a little rumble. I'm gonna do my best to get a fresh recording (this was made with my laptop's built in microphone) and I'll try and post that sometime.

If i lived anywhere near there, I would go. As is, Its gonna be hard enough for me to just make it to Branson Z Fest this year. If you wanna hear my exhaust you can watch my video in my signature. Its not the best recording, but it'll give you an idea.

$1350. I think it was just about right. Really, i think I got lucky. I just got the first one I found. Of coarse its needed a lot of work, but its been my daily driver since I got it (for the most part) I'd do it again in a hearbeat.

Sounds like the perfect excuse to do a turbo swap to me!

Check out your differential. Sounds exactly like what mine was doing before it destroyed itself. I drove it like that for several months though, but when it goes, its not good. I have some pics of the damage in my gallery.

I don't think it would be the slave cylinder. As I recall, when mine went out, the pedel was fine, but it wouldn't engage. You could just feel it wouldn't ever "grab."
