Any Racers recognize this 240-Z?
I'm surprised to see this post come up today! How about a quick update?I got both my SCCA license and my Vintage license this year. Raced in RMDIV at La Junta, Sandia, and Pueblo. No issues with the car, ran like a champ all year. I reallly lucked out finding this car, and had a GREAT year with big plans for 2009. Here's a few pics from 2008: http://www.red-eye-motorsports.com/ITS240Z.htm And here's a great shot of me and a 510...Robert

Which Autolite Gas Gauge?
Hello everyone, Over the weekend, I finally finished installing my Autolite Sport Comp Mechanical Oil Pressure & Temp Gauges. Now I want a matching Gas Gauge. Does anyone know the Ohm readings of the sending unit, both empty and full? It looks like I have several choices: http://www.egauges.com/vdo_mult3.asp?Type=Fuel_Level&Series=Sport_Comp&Units=E 1) 0 - 30 Ohms 2) 0 - 90 Ohms 3) 16 - 158 Ohms 4) 240 - 33 Ohms 5) 73 - 10 Ohms Thanks...Robert

I am starting my racing career
I agree with the Autocrossing idea, great place to start. I'm no expert, like some of the other people commenting, but try it from the driver's seat. I remember someone telling me after my 1st Autocross, that I had a "sh#$-eating grin on my face". Then I started working corners at SCCA Club races, and that's a blast too. I remember my first race, I was working Corner 1, with several experienced Flaggers, and watching the Spec Miatas coming thru our corner on Lap 1 was unbelievable! This past summer, I trailered home an ITS 240Z from San Jose, and I'm hoping to get my license this spring, and go racing shortly thereafter. Go for it...Robert
