Bouncing Wipers
Yes, the wipers do work, and return to the off position, although they are pretty slow, and don't seem to have as wide a wipe as I would expect. Yes, they operate as a pair. And yes, I have to park them myself, they don't automatically go to the bottom of the windshield. But, I can't move them manually up the windshield.

Bouncing Wipers
I just happen to have the car at work today...There is a good amount of tension/spring when lifting the wipers. When I said pop up, I meant that they slide up the window several inches.

Bouncing Wipers
Whenever I hit a decent bump in my '71, my wipers will pop up several inches, the worse the bump, the more they move. Anyone have a quick fix for this? Thanks...Robert

Shipping from USA to AUS and back
Oh well, so much for that idea. I was hoping that it only cost around $1000 or so. I test drove a right-hand drive 280ZX (Fairlady?) here in ABQ this summer, but unfortunately the PO had swapped out the 2.0 4-speed for a 2.8 automatic. Not sure why???

Shipping from USA to AUS and back
Has anyone looked into what it would cost to ship vehicles from USA to Australia and back the other way? Aren't Australian cars right-hand drive? That would be cool to trade a bunch of left-hand drive cars for right-hand drive cars. Both sides would have something pretty unique. Later...Robert

Removing old brake hoses
sahunt66, I noticed that you live in Rio Rancho, NM. Would you like to get together some time and talk Z's? I live around Alameda and I-25. Later...Red-Eye

My Intro
Sorry for the first reply, didn't read your message close enough. It's not a bullet hole nor bird doo-doo, just a trace of surface rust. As for the wheels, I got those from Royce in Sacremento. He upgraded to 15" wheels, and gave me a good price on those. That's one thing I really like about the Z's, there are so many more parts available than for the Roadsters.

The yellow Roadster will live again. I bought it from my older brother's wife, who got it as a High School graduation present in 1968. It's all there. Now if I hadn't bought all of these Z's, I'd have some time to revive it...

My Intro
Hello Classic Zcar Club. My name is Robert, I live in Albuquerque, NM USA. I own 3 Z's, a '71 240Z, a '74 260Z, and an '83 280ZX. And, I also own 2 67.5 1600 Roadsters: My Silver Roadster, and My Yellow Roadster. I've owned both of the Roadsters for quite a while, but just recently got bit by the Z-Bug. I bought the 280ZX from the original owner, it's a great daily driver. The 260Z I found sitting in someone's yard, cost me $250, but needs some work. And then about 2 months ago, I bought the 240Z out in California, and brought it back to Albuquerque. That thing is fast! Looking forward to exploring the site more. I've got alot to learn, so hope you'll bear with me. Any other Albuquerqueans on the Forum? Later...Red-Eye
