Sagamiko meeting 2004
Oh yes indeed - I am unsure about overfenders but the clean, almost clinical lines of some of these JDM cars are stunning. SOme of the hideous after market bolt on lumps of cheap plastic do nothing for me, however, the really high quality bits ......... different bottle of chips. :lick:

Sagamiko meeting 2004
I thought I was exactly sure but you posted more pictures ................. Am still smitten with the white one, just not too keen on "bolt on" overfenders. Will check my email, thanks.

Rear end.. could someone help?
Have NISMO LSD 3.9 for mine - car will not be finished for another 12 months because most parts ie engine, box, suspension, wheels, brakes, seats etc etc etc are brand new and I am not made of money :-) I am now wondering whether the gearing will be too low ? I will be using and Edelbrock Performer crate engine that revs to 6000, a Borg Warner T56 six speed and 17x9 or 91/2 wheels with 40 or 45 profile tyres. Can anybody shed any light on what I can expect in terms of performance ? 420BHP, 418ftlbs torque . Any idea on whether it will grip or just spin wildly ? For not much more money I can have a stroker kit to 7 litres which will give 500BHP and 500ftlbs torque approx. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated and really helpful. Thanks

Sagamiko meeting 2004
Stunning pictures Alan ! Thank you for sharing them........ however, you have caused me a slight dilemma As you know, there is one car from Sagamiko that I just drool over and that is the inspiration for my own - it still is in terms of engineering but....... One of your pictures shows the front view of a ZG style S30 with body coloured arches. Is this a "true" G nose or an after market kit do you know ? It is a beautiful car indeed, so a mixture of the engineering ideas on Tatsuyo san's and the styling on this one would be staggering (IMHO) My only reservation is the bolt on arches (over fenders I believe they are called) that come with the ZG. They are perfectly original and look period to a tee but I think I would mould them to the body. Did you manage to get the parts details we discussed please ? Cheers Andy F

The R200 particularly when fitted with a NISMO LSD will take all the power you want to throw at it until you get to drag levels really - I would expect mine to cope with 600BHP easily (only 420 going in though). The issue you will have is the final driveshafts, you need to get the diff to wheel angle right and uprate the shafts. Many use CV jointed 280ZX parts, but JTR imply that the joints are prone to failure if driven hard all the time (surely the point of a V8 conversion). I have been offered custom made Formula1 style driveshafts but the price was so far out of the question I will use the JTR conversions. JTR suggest using Chevrolet U Joints at each end and can supply a flange that fits an R200 diff and uses a Chevy U joint. see www.jagsthatrun.com

720 Hp !!!!!!
I agree with you entirely Vicky - the SBC looks and feels right, similar weight, right size for the engine bay etc etc. The BBC is in my humble opinion fine for straight line drags but would be too big and heavy to use as a track car.

how do i go fast??!!?!?!?
use second hand bits and you get a hairy car for not much money at all !!

how do i go fast??!!?!?!?
I had a quote for a pro built straight 6 - including clutch and flywheel to get 285BHP was £13,000 so about $18,500 give or take. A BRAND NEW Edlebrock Performer SmallBlock Chevy running 420BHP and 418ft lbs of torque, BRAND NEW Borg Warner T56 six speed, clutch and lightened flywheel was only £8,000 so $12,000 give or take. This included Edelbrock carb, air filter etc etc just no distributor. Bear in mind the massive power difference and the fact that the new engine and box have warranty, the ease of sticking in a V8 and it becomes a simple choice if you like brute force and ignorance in the way your car drives. They can be made to handle just like a standard 6 as well if you use the right bits.

720 Hp !!!!!!
Big block will fit - Small Block is obviously lighter and therefore more in keeping with the car. Have seen several big block drag cars.

Who's is this?
The white one belongs to a man called Tatsuyo Sata and is a very very special car indeed. Check out the brake lines going through the inner wings, the "clinically clean" engine bay. Have a look at how the fuel gets into the engine, beautiful injectors. Check out the heat shield, spotlessly clean underneath, neat and elegant rollcage. This car has been engineered to the very highest standards and is the inspiration for my own........albeit mine has a 420BHP Edelbrock Performer SBC waiting. I am having the same wheels and want the same clean lines but will be using House of Kolor paint instead of white. (White with red interior = Japanese Racing Colours I believe)... yes I know we put a "u" in colour in England :-) Personally I really like the JDM look (Japanese DOmestic Market). The ZG in the first pictures is Japanese too - have pics of it somewhere, will dig them out and see if I can put a label on it.
